Murder is, in my opinion, the intent to end life.
Manslaughter is the unintentional ending of a life.
Did Karmelo stab with the intention to kill or to stop the fight ?
No blacks on jury is an issue too.

Daniel Penny snuck up behind an innocent Black man who never touched anyone, and choked him to death while claiming self defense. This happened in New York that has some of the strictest self-defense laws and a duty to retreat. Penny was still acquitted & paraded around like a hero. Karmelo defended himself from a physical assault in Texas-a state with the most expansive Stand Your Ground laws, with NO duty to retreat. And he gets a murder conviction.
The only difference in these cases is the enforcement is governed by systemic white supremacy

They didn’t even put his character on trial. I mean, that’s one strategy. His coach said he was suspended but was allowed back on the team. But why? How was his attitude? One of the students said Hunter didn’t handle disrespect and Austin jumped in the conversation—Hunter addressed Karmelo first and Austin jumped in. I don’t know what the hell Mike got going on.
