Kind of gone off #F1 over the years but just finished watching Drive to Survive on Netflix. Amazing insight to the drivers/team but basically, most of the drivers are tossers and hate each other.

Apple QuickTime colour woes. 😫 I’ve got two beautiful Apple Studio Displays, yet any software that uses ColourSync/QuickTime makes video on them look washed out. Is this a decade old problem now? Feels like it.

@JohnGeeMcCarthy @AdrianBentley I’ve lost count of the amount of smart lights we have in our house. All controlled by voice, motion or timers. Lights never get left on. Change to different colours or modes at times of day. React to motion externally for security. All great but we still have a BIG light.

@AdrianBentley I'm on Google Assistant. Controlled through the 'Home' app as long as they are all on the same WiFi. I do still get a kick out of switching to disco or reading mode with a voice command but 9/10 I forget I can do that. Good luck.

I’ve jumped on the bandwagon and got some smart light bulbs. Call me old fashioned, but having to unpocket my phone, scroll to the app, tap to open the app, then tap a button to switch on a light Vs flicking a light switch doesn’t feel like a massive leap forward in efficiency.

How did the Killers get so popular?

@tomeversley @Naughty_Dog Yeah I agree. Plus this generation we are getting a lot more remakes/enhanced versions at nearly twice as much as the original. #GTA5 was worth the £7 upgrade. But most companies (looking at you @EA) are just fleecing the customers at the moment.

Last of us Part 1 remake for PS5 looks awesome. But £70! Come on @Naughty_Dog - I’ve bought it twice already. It’s just pure greed if you want existing owners to buy it again at full price.

I use Suitcases. From MacOS Big Sur onwards (I think) you get 700+ extra fonts installed at the system level and you can’t hide them in Suitcases. It does try and put foreign language fonts in sections but others remain in the list.

@rclstudio @imchris87 M1 Max 1TB SSD, 32gb RAM but upgraded GPU to 32core for an extra £200. Seems that because of the way the new unified Memory works, you don’t need as much ram. Only Blender seemed to take advantage of extra RAM. Do t do much 3D so wasn’t worth the extra £400 for 64gb for me.

@rclstudio @imchris87 There’s a new Mac Pro in the works and a rumoured new 32” screen but probably ££££s. 27” iMac is discontinued. Just eBayed mine and bought new Mac Studio and 2 Apple Studio displays. It’s silent compared to iMac when rendering video/#AE stuff.

All #designers and Mac owners. Remove all those NOTO fonts with this fontmenucleaner.com I can confirm it works. Install, restart and then carefully select all the fonts you want to hide. @mikedotsullivan @studiodbd @GaryBovill @design_by_neil @MrKyleWilkinson

@NickClement There’s the M1, M1-Pro, M1-Max and M1-Ultra. The M2 is 18% faster than the original M1. Doubtful we will see any M2 chip variants until at least the end of the year and then mid next year (earliest) for M2 Mac Studio.
