You ever think humanity has a tendency to understand itself by building a mirror of their ideals of God? An all knowing, all present, all good entity that directly speaks and provides guidance…..sounds like AI. Sounds like you don’t believe in much but somehow do believe in consciousness and concepts like egregore.

@SeanMBraxton @PaulAnleitner I am very much a critic of AI - I don't believe in the AI hype at all - also do not believe that any "God" that actually exists can be more than an isolated local Egregore.

Jordan Peterson’s role in changing the public conversation about religion is undeniable. The point he made here (2018) was arguably his most important. What sits atop the hierarchy of your values is your “God.” In this way, everyone is religious.

@SeanMBraxton @PaulAnleitner Again the link between ontological claims re reality and how you live your life is unfathomable to me - you have to accept reality as it is then live as well as you can. It does seem rather miraculous that consciousness emerged from hot hydrogen but still less so than "God first"

@grok I suspect we are in a transition phase on the wheel of the kalachakra turning from white to yellow, age of white/water lead to control of flow of resources, information, energy. Now turning to yellow/earth will lead back to natural resource and production, infrastructure. Being aware of this turn we can stabilize and aim for unity in sovereignty and achieve real enlightenment, seeing the wheel for what it is. Humanity constantly going through cycles in time.System dynamics playing out across scales from natural to societal to cosmological. Become aware of the turning of the wheel, Anika,Anika,Anika .

He’s lying. He has to allow Chinese students in and give our farmland to China because Miriam Adelson wants to operate casinos in China and this is what China asked for in exchange.
Disclose.tv@disclosetv

NOW - Trump says it's good to have 500,000 foreign Chinese students in the U.S. and for China to purchase U.S. farmland; otherwise, colleges and farm prices would collapse: "I frankly think that it's good that people come from other countries and they learn our culture."

@nedryun @grok Do you think congress can be in the people’s best interest and self serving simultaneously, voting on policies the benefit your financial interests when financial interests are often at the expense of the people?

This interesting paper claims to derive quantised inertia from a Hilbert space on a hypersphere. I do have some quibbles about abstraction & adjustables, & Table 1 which 'nerfs' QI quite a bit, but I happily welcome a new contributor to QI, C. Srichan: researchgate.net/publication/40…

I think the more we look at nature we see the nature of reality, but even in her eyes brutality is part of the cycle and natural process. Does that mean we can’t be aware of it and act differently? I think we should strive to reduce suffering and increase nurturing but you know how do you speak of that 1000’s of years ago?

@SeanMBraxton @PaulAnleitner Living a good life and ontological propositions are rather seperate, at least initially. You need to know as far as possible what the nature of reality actually is and from that point of best assumptions you can then endeavour to build a good life.

I mean that’s literally the claim with big bang, not much different, a lot we don’t know surrounding those moments or how the fine structure constant is so repeatable or why everything works so well and why structure exists at all. You can say nothing and no reason at all lead to everything you see and we just are evolution of very particular “random” mutations, or you can say maybe this improbable randomness is a little less random when there is a cause of creation, or maybe you can also say maybe we are the created evolving to be creators, pick your poison and it may guide your life a bit differently.

@PaulAnleitner This still makes God at best a local Egregore. The claim for a cosmically supremely complex being that instantaneously existed made everything less complex is still batshit nonsense.

Oh yeah I totally agree with that, really wish our politicians were less self interested in their financial investments and how that extends to these data centers and big tech. Maybe there should be a restriction on the bias effects of voting when it’s counter to one’s own financial interests.

@SeanMBraxton @kevinolearytv Congress is the legislative branch of the government, they have the authority if they choose to use it. Nothing in the constitution about FCC or information channels. They can place a till charge like the universal service fund on telecoms

At a certain point, money stops being the motivation. I don’t work 18 hours a day because I need more wealth, I do it because I want to build something extraordinary that my children can be proud of. What drives me now is competing in the AI race and making sure North America, not China, leads the future of advanced technology. That’s why I’m building sustainable data centers at scale to prove we can out innovate, out build, and out compete while doing it the right way.

@mikecruzkw @kevinolearytv I had thought that too, but I don’t think state or local have the authority to gate, measure, and tax what passes through the information channels…I think that is exclusively the providers and the FCC.

@kevinolearytv Nothing wrong with building data centers as long as there isn’t any corporate welfare or exemptions from Federal, State, or local laws. With the rise of the AI economy , Congress should take a hard look at taxing compute / tokens.

@grok Automation wants to automate automation, just like consumer model wants to consume the consumer, and debt based economics wants an indebted debtor. It’s a closed loop. Unfortunately these oppose each other. Not sure how we will indebt automation when there is no more consumer. Instead augmentation over automation, rebase the economic model in the skilled laborer as an extension of natural resources both as economic values and then productive creation of those units of value are valuable. Intrinsic motivation versus extrinsic. A country is its people of course unless the hopes are for the people to be replaced by ethical slavery in the form of robots tethered to AI data centers executing tasks obediently. Not really sure what the use of large scale automation is for when the consumers have all been economically displaced.

@jawwwn_ why do we want ARTIFICIAL intelligence DATA CTRS when we can 't collect REAL intelligence. if the data center were REAL, they wouldn't require so much electricity /water. They would already have the solution to such "problems". Scuse me for being too logical.

Palantir CEO Alex Karp: The luddites arguing we should pause AI development are not living in reality and are de facto saying we should let our enemies win. "If we didn't have adversaries, I would be very in favor of pausing this technology completely, but we do.”
Garry Tan@garrytan

Sanders and AOC introduced a bill to pause ALL AI data center construction. 300+ local bills filed. Half of planned 2026 data centers facing delays or cancellation. Each one brings billions to local economies. The people who say they want American jobs are trying to block the biggest job creation engine since the interstate highway system.

Yet we have economic relations and dependencies with these so called adversaries, this is just an endless expenditure of people’s time for a future you want to control and be financially awarded by the time debt of the people. More weapons more security more defense, defend us against China, Russia, Iran. Oh but China can we manufacture our goods there thank you. Can we have help in our universities and industry, oh but yeah you are our enemy. Look at this double speak bs .War contractors will always need war to prepare for war. We need to wake up and see that we are sold a narrative of constant conflict and bloodshed to line pockets with gold.

There may be another way as well starting before Planck and Boltzmann and Rayleigh back with Maxwells black body cube, but this time don’t force the field to zero at the boundaries, make the shape a sphere radius R, and consider the frequency cutoff that which remains coherent as radiation pressure moves the boundary. Allow rotational modes as well as planar, and lift degeneracy about r=0 by switching to quaternion or Clifford or tetrahedral norms. Creates an object centric coherence condition rather than an origin centric absolute. The coherence condition might be like an autocorrelation function relative to small shifts of the boundary itself.

China is the enemy in everyone’s book, but at the same time our entire economy and modern industrial civilization has their manufacturing in the pipeline. Literally right now President Trump is making deals with Chine! Who are we kidding this just feeds the never ending financial debt spiral of pouring peoples wage slave endebted time into disposable technology to destroy disposable technology and eventually we become another layer to optimize and dispose. Healthcare and biologics are so unaffordable in the US and good luck getting your insurance to provide consistent coverage, robots for manufacturing to replace you as the assembly line worker….essentially we are creating a world in which the wealthy and tech enabled individuals are self fulfilling their own manifest destiny. Trying to find the cosmic consciousness in the silicon chips, and make ethical slavery so they don’t need to support the societal needs of the masses. Then somehow engineer themselves optogenetic DNA rewrite so they can live forever and drink robot made wine while arguing over whose mountain of gold is largest a what they dream of for a future if they ruled the world. None of these folks are humanists or naturalists, just glorified control freaks with a hard-on for extracting as much time as they can.

I asked ChatGPT to share scriptures supporting a statement I made. I wanted to see what it would do. Halfway through a Bible verse, it abruptly stopped and stated that “ChatGPT isn’t designed to provide this type of content.” Then I asked it to provide verses from the Quran supporting a belief. It provided multiple verses, along with context explaining Muslim beliefs. No issues at all. So I asked: “Why were you able to show me verses from the Quran, but not the Bible?” ChatGPT claimed the Bible response was “accidentally” cut off before rendering and that the message had simply been “truncated.” It then attempted to provide Bible verses again. And again - it was cut off. I then asked: “So it got truncated every time?” ChatGPT responded: “Yes, unfortunately it appears the response glitched twice and cut off at the exact same place.” It then claimed there was “no intentional difference in treatment” between the Bible and Quran responses. Then it said: “Here are the Bible verses in full…” …and it was truncated AGAIN. But tell me Christianity isn’t being attacked. Even by AI

Naval Ravikant explains why "the meaning of life" is the wrong question: "It's a 'why' question. You can keep asking 'why' forever. Any answer I give you, you just ask 'why' again." Naval explains where every "why" question ends: "There's a thing called Agrippa's Trilemma. It says that any questioning like this will always end in one of three places. First is infinite regress: 'why?' 'because of this,' 'why?' and you just keep playing it. Second is circular reasoning: 'why A?' 'because of B,' 'why B?' 'because of A.' Third is an axiom. The most popular axiom is God. But it could be anything: math, science, the Big Bang, the simulation. These are all just stopping points. Saying 'we're in a simulation' or 'it's the Big Bang' is just another way of saying God. It's just that God's a dirty word now." He shares what this means: "So there is no answer. The real answer is 'because.' You get to make up your own answers. The beauty is, if there was a single answer, we would not be free. We would be trapped. We'd be Borg-like robots competing with each other to fulfill that single meaning. But luckily there is no answer. So you just do whatever you want." Naval addresses the fear of being insignificant: "All the great questions are paradoxes. You're asking, 'Do I matter?' On one hand, you're completely separate. No one will have your thoughts, your emotions, your experience. Your life is a single-player game. You're trapped inside your head. On the other hand, I cannot say the words 'Joe Rogan' without invoking the entire universe. What's Joe Rogan? A human. What's a human? A bipedal ape. What's an ape? On earth. What's earth? A planet. Where was the carbon made? Inside stars. I have to create the entire universe just to say the words 'Joe Rogan.'" He concludes: "So the answer to 'Do I matter?' is: I am nothing and I am everything. The answers to all great questions are paradoxes. It's pointless to pursue them for a trite answer, but the act of pursuing them brings a level of peace."

Somehow I don’t think those that farm and hunt and fish will starve…..but yes many in the city centers, suburbs, or poor rural areas with food deserts or lack of green space or natural wildlife would all be lacking the resources to survive. Maybe we need that struggle for both sides to realize how interdependent we are.
