Daylight saving time year-round: House votes to ‘lock the clock’ and end twice-yearly time change mlive.com/news/2026/07/d…

@RetiredYoungNW The Senate will drop the ball on this, like they do basically everything.

@WOODTV Run a DNA analysis, upload the DNA to every commercial DNA service (23 and me, Ancestry .com, etc) If you get any family matches (uncle, cousin, grandparent, etc) that should lead you right to the person you are looking for.

@Muskstaycalm Can you pay for it with @XMoney and get 3% cash back?
English

@gretchenwhitmer Early voting was a mistake. Would we want jurors issuing their verdict before the closing arguments? Why do we want people voting before candidates have made their cases and debated?

In 2022, Michiganders voted overwhelmingly to expand voter rights with nine days of early in-person voting. Beginning July 25, eligible voters in Michigan can vote early in-person in the upcoming statewide primary.
Michigan’s elections are fair and secure. No matter who you’re voting for, I’ll keep fighting against voter suppression and to make it easier for you to cast your vote and make your voice heard.

@petersantilli I shutter to think of the dark course event would have played out over the last couple year had that shot been just a few millileters different.

@CoreyTheX @CigarFeller @XMoney So you can only send money to a extremely small slice of the population? That doesn't seem useful.

@GovWhitmer Working class taxpayers shouldn't be forced to pay for "free" meals for the children of millionaires. It's crazy this even has to be said.

@GovWhitmer Why should working class taxpayers be forced to pay for "free" meals for kids of millionaires?

Europeans - here is how to avoiding tipping in the US without making waiters angry
1. Create a disposable virtual debit card (like Revolut)
2. When the bill comes, you usually pay for the meal first. Use that card to pay for it
3. Immediately after paying, delete your disposable card
4. Then comes the tip. Put 20% to make these losers happy and leave the restaurant
5. Waiter will try to charge your card for the 20% tip, but it's not going to work - the card is deleted already
6. Enjoy the meal without an uncomfortable interaction with the waiter
This is a simple European trick to not lose money in American restaurants

@101sfinance @kevinxu X decides who to invite. Pretty randomly. We can't sign up. 😢

@mattvanswol People do have strokes, heart attacks, and other such things, especially at that age.

@saniyafatma1278 Be thankful. 4/5 people would just key a car parked like that. These people were merciful.

I came back out to my vehicle and somebody had literally outlined it in chalk like it was a whole crime scene.
Not only was there chalk all around the car, but there were little arrows, comments, and sarcastic messages pointing out the parking job like they were hosting a public art project in the parking lot. I’m sorry, but that is so childish.
If my parking was that bad, fine, be annoyed. But touching up the pavement around my vehicle and turning it into a joke for everyone walking by is just petty. People are way too comfortable embarrassing strangers instead of just moving on with their day.

@Volt_Voyager @ScottWarner18 @Walmart My other concern is privacy and identity theft. I don't give even my blood relatives authorization to initiate withdrawals from my bank account. Yet people don't blink when perfect strangers ask for the power to do the exact same thing.
English

@SeanMullally @ScottWarner18 @Walmart high ticket items it makes sense when an ACH is available. Low ticket items it's pure greed.
English

Dear @Walmart,
Please get with the times and allow Apple Pay or “tap to pay”. Thank you.
Sincerely,
All of us
