Today I purchased twelve 250ml bottles of Irish produced water. There was a price increase of exactly €1.80. Clearly the refund charge was made, but the bottles do not have any Re-turn logo on them. I have always meticulously recycled everything I can, including plastic bottles. I pay for a green bin. I wash everything that goes into it. Now I’m being double taxed. As usual, everything the Green Party touches is not only a bad idea, but also implemented haphazardly and incompetently. Think electric buses, cycle lane bollards, child protection, referendum wording… @EamonRyan is a totalitarian fool and his party are ideological extremists. In some respects, thank God they are so incompetent. But they not only tax and tax and tax, they also absolutely waste the money collected.
