Serious effort from Kildare. Green to give so many frees. Ref didn't help. But genuinely serious team. Season now is about being better against Dublin, learning from Galway, driving into Kilkenny and beating Offaly to stay up. Would be an unreal but very achievable year.

I had a busy day today, but I finally made it up to O'Connell Street to meet with the protesters for Day 5. It was great to see some familiar faces from Meath, Cavan, and Louth. I had a wee chat with James Geoghegan. I hope he is well compensated by the media for defaming him. The atmosphere there is great: Gardaí on the ground are pleasant, and traffic is flowing—only O'Connell Street is blocked. Traffic on the Quays is flowing too. Hopefully, this government will put an end to these countrywide protests tomorrow with a package that benefits everyone. Keep it peaceful. #FuelProtests #MakeWorkPay

Got what we deserved. The Cavan performance debacle comes home to roost. Showed a bit of urgency when it was too late. As ever with Kildare football it's one step forward two back, then take a shotgun to one of your feet. Disheartening to say the least.
