The Bachwezi in heaven and on earth have instructed me to return.

Following the completion of an investigation commissioned by H.E. @KagutaMuseveni in Kasambya County, the President guided that I should make efforts to reconcile the parties and restore harmony within the @NRMOnline family in Mubende District. In fulfilling this guidance and in the spirit of reconciliation and unity, today I met with the MP for Kasambya, Hon. David Kabanda, his former opponent Henry Muhumuza, as well as Mubende District Woman MP Hope Grania Nakazibwe, the RDC, the Deputy RDC and other respected opinion leaders. Our meeting focused on resolving the issues that arose during and after the general elections in the constituency. I am pleased to note that we held open, honest, and constructive discussions. Together, we reached a common understanding and agreed to move forward with one shared purpose: putting Kasambya and Mubende first. I thank all the parties for embracing the spirit of forgiveness toward one another. This renewed spirit of cooperation and unity will greatly benefit the people of Kasambya and the entire district as we work together as one NRM family for peace, stability, and development.

Tayebwa was tasked by the President and National Chairperson of the NRM, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to spearhead efforts aimed at restoring unity between the two factions of NRM members. Kabanda and Muhumuza contested for the Kasambya parliamentary seat, and their campaigns were marred by violent clashes in the constituency. 📸@GeofreyMutumba2
