This is only the second time in NCAA tournament history where the Sweet 16 is made up entirely of teams from major conferences. The only other time? Last year.

This was not called goaltending on Kansas. The defender blocks the ball after it hits the backboard. That’s a bad missed call.

@270BradleySmith His style of play would not work at Kentucky with SEC refs. His teams would be fouled out with 10 minutes to go.

I’m convinced there are coaches who tell their defenses to foul every possession because “they won’t call all of them.” Then, they get the reputation of a physical defense and get away with more.

I miss the days when the NCAA Tournament used home floors and you knew instantly where every game was being played. Every game now has the same generic feeling.
Bring back this vibe.

This is a technical in basically every league except when Kentucky plays I guess.
In the NBA, it’s a technical, and it’s an automatic ejection.

YOU MAKE THE CALL. TECHNICAL OR NO TECHNICAL? The ball is out of bounds off of Iowa State. The Iowa State player intentionally kicks the ball, and it lands in the first row. Should this have been a technical?

Monitoring Kentucky transfers in the NCAA tournament 1st round; Cam’Ron Fletcher (HPU) has already won, as well as DJ Wagner and the Razorbacks. Looking for Villanova to win with Devin Askew, Big Z at Illinois (we miss you), & Ugonna Onyenso at UVA. Am I forgetting anyone? 😅

The Selection Chair said they have Texas rematching NC State because NC State and SMU are in the same conference, and they couldn’t do anything else.
Did they address why it can’t be Texas/SMU and NC State/Miami?

None of these were called illegal screens on Rueben Chinyelu. None of them were legal. All should have been offensive fouls. These are all bad missed calls.
