@DjibinhoPvris_ Franchement, je ne vois aucun scénario où l'Espagne se qualifie face à la France.

Ref is letting a lot of French physicality, which I like, I hope it stays that way the whole match! Almost reminds me of the football we used to play 🥲

@Balbomb1 @kwansfull Count, if you cover. Might be a crippling call, might still have 15 bigs. Asking for a count is fine, waiting 5s to ask is so arbitrary, she likely knew he would all in at next action.

@kwansfull lol she snap corrects him like she would do if angling? 6 bet pot, are you more likely to snap call or snap call for a count? Cmon

If you watch the video closely, she snap corrects the dealer before the other player tables his cards. Maybe she has a pattern of this but this would be an above the rim angle if it really was one.
jaredjaffee@jaredjaffee21

Know for a fact that the sweet innocent lady from the call/count incident has done the exact same thing before. Anyone who thinks this wasn’t an angle should ask themselves if they’d feel the same way if this was done by some middle aged dude.

@JenkoKent @carefree_deds @MickWest It's just a lot isn't it? It's a lot to have to believe because someone who just got scored on said it happened. The ball, trust me, is moving exactly like a ball that's got some spin.

Because it glances off something it’s running parallel to. I’m actually now understanding some of the argument here a bit more. The wire isn’t perpendicular to the ball it’s at roughly the same angle the ball is traveling. Imagine standing next to a wall and throwing a ball along it at such an angle that the ball just barely touches the wall.

Panorama-stabilized Norway goal kick, scale corrected, simulating a fixed single camera (created using Sitrec). I'm not seeing anything obvious, but that does not mean there wasn't a contact with the cable

@Pepo_Green Seen her do it before. 99% of players who ask for a count do it in a polite manner. “Can I get a count please” or count please. This snap “count” is very shady. She’s clearly a regular user of it and it can’t be the first time an oppo has tabled their cards.

@JenkoKent @carefree_deds @MickWest Why would it be a light touch? If it hits the cable it's doing so at substantial speed. You're really just trying to make the square fit in the circle hole.

@carefree_deds @MickWest Yes but not to this extent nor with this amount of deceleration. Keep in mind we’re talking about a relatively light touch. Enough to slow the ball and reduce the carry by 5 yards or so, but not a wild change in course. Plus all the angles show the change at the same point.

@_AstroJoe @MickWest Yes but shallower on the way down than it should be. Here’s the same with the English player added so you can see him adjusting his run to course correct.

@chunkyboyjames @DuncanCastles I would be a little careful using that as "concrete evidence" it's evidence, but there can be faults in technology, and faults in FIFA's honesty, historically.

@DuncanCastles @SecularLad FIFA shared a statement and screenshot showing their technology didn’t detect any contact with a cable, so therefore, the most logical explanation is in fact that it DIDN’T hit the cable, as that is the only explanation for which we have concrete evidence.

Imagine the controversy if England’s equaliser had been ruled out for the ball striking a camera cable. Would have been 100% the correct decision (similar to scoring after the ball hits the referee), but the backlash against Infantino darling VAR would have been immense. Instead FIFA tries to override clear video evidence and the immediate reaction of Norwegian players and coaches with a long-post-match graphic… #NORENG #WorldCup
Jan Aage Fjørtoft 🇳🇴@JanAageFjortoft

The day after Yesterday! A principal discussion - nothing to do with England: 1. The ball hits the wire of the Spidercam a) players and the bench react instantly b) video-technology from different channels show it 2. FIFA say it did not hit the wire So two simple questions that need to be answered: Does FIFA lie? Is the technology NOT working?

Anyone who has ever played or watched ball beyond World Cup games knows that this pass was never on for a left footer, or at least had a pretty low chance of success. Sørloth is getting pelters online but Stones got his positioning absolutely perfect.

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy Wobble would slow as ball does It's not that they aren't experts it's just that detecting hitting overhead cables and slight head touches certainly wasn't what it was designed for, it was for kick sync for offside. Best tech stack document is here. meshworld.in/blog/ai/fifa-w…

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy Of course, I haven't indulged myself even the wiki of this tech, so I'm not sure about it's scale and specifitiy, but I guess I trust the people involved are experts. I don't think frequency would change, but would expect air resistance to not be consistent in an open stadium

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy It's not so much the scales, being an engineer you know log scales. It's the noise you'd expect to be multiplied with it. Yes, you filter but even so the total lack is strange as is the strange wavy effect, could be ball wobble but frequency doesn't change..

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy Dumbed down is to be expected, and actually that probably explains why there's so many conspiracies. I would be interested in the actual output, if you can get me ball speed and spin of this incident I'd be happy to run the maths and see our ranges!

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy Somewhere there's actually the live output of somebody bouncing one of the balls and a live view on a monitor. That looks like I'd expect. If I find it again, I'll drop it here. It doesn't look anything like these. This is almost, here AI, dumb this down so fans can understand it

@EyebagsCat Any memes aside, I do think Mages are the lowest average skill archetype of champion on average atm. (Doesn't mean you're bad if you play Mages) The threat of noncommittal CC + damage combined with safety and strong wave clear is just too much imo

Mages are so unskilled, this is why all the best players in history are marksmen players instead, because they develop good mechanics (Faker, doinb, knight, zeka, chovy...) they are all adc players.

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy Because of the on field reaction. Would take some thought process for the goal keeper and bench to instantly think of hitting the cable as a reasin to disallow a goal. And I'm not claiming foul play but maybe a technology stack fault. We cannot see on fuzzy images.

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy Oh that's excellent! Thank you for your service :) I was a little suspicious when I saw the graph of that one, hair is going to give orders of magnitude more output than background air, but as far as I could tell it looked similar to other touches that, in turn, give orders of

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy I don't want you to get it twisted here. I don't know it didn't hit, but when the trajectory is within normal rage, and the heatbeat technology says no impact on the ball, we're in the realm of conspiracy, and I just don't see why people are so confident of foul play

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy I just find it strange you immediately rule out a motion between ball and cable that is seen for days on end at a tennis tournament. x.com/i/status/20764…
Johnny@Johnsinc

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy The cable could act like the net cord in tennis. You hit the bottom 1/3 of the tennis ball, does it fly over the baseline or does it skip up and dribble over the net? The lower down the less energy is taken out but most of the half sees it go up and even drop dead..

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy I'm not sure, honestly, I don't have the position it's impossible it did hit, but I don't think anyone has any good reason to strongly beleive that it did, right? I do probably trust the technology more than the average bear, but that's been a good bet in my life 🤷

@Johnsinc @DrRitzyy Backspin works for both outcomes, actually. The maths is way too variable to seriously run here, estimating spin on a ball experiencing a lot of turbulence, I'm sorry, that's above my paygrade, I don't think it's sensible to estimate anything via youtube video frame by frame

@SecularLad @DrRitzyy You seem to have forgotten spin. Hitting the bottom section of a ball would impart top spin. Magnus effect. It definitely did not drop from the sky but appears to fall short of a natural trajectory. I mearly suggest how you hit a ball near the bottom and it still falls short
