@Moss573357 @Robert_K_UK @lord_brien @LBC @JosephDraper5 You seem to be misunderstanding your own words. Pleading guilty and a "few weeks". When the starting point is 36 months and pleading guilty gets you 25% off around 120 weeks. That is not a "few weeks" and much longer than she would have done on remand.

@K453535 @barkes2003 @HaloConcept24 @bmay A call for action isn't needed. All that has to be be proven is there was "threatening/abusive/insulting material published with intent to stir up racial hatred (or where it's likely)" With 300,000+ people seeing this was this likely to stir up racial hatred?

I’m amazed after all this time she still keeps digging a deeper and deeper hole for herself. It’s really embarrassing.

@EddieW1885 @LBC @JosephDraper5 Class A1, which is what she and her defence admitted to. And she admitted she signed a document to say she accepted this carries a sentence with a starting point of 3 years imprisonment. Wide dissemination and lack of remorse were two things that made an even higher sentence.

@LBC @JosephDraper5 I've been of the opinion that she shouldn't have been jailed for this given it was a first offence however I'm staggered that this useless idiot still gets coverage. She is just moronic & doesn't seem to really seem to grasp that she did anything wrong. No remorse at all

@DaveJWordsworth @LBC @JosephDraper5 That's not the offence she was charged with. Public Order Act 1986: publishing and distributing written material (a post on X, formerly Twitter) on 29 July 2024 that was threatening, abusive, or insulting, with the intention of stirring up racial hatred.

@Robert_K_UK @lord_brien @LBC @JosephDraper5 Because she was advised that if she pled not guilty she'd be held on remand until a trial which would likely take longer to come around than just pleading guilty and doing a few weeks. Yes she got screwed by the system and the establishment.

@Bru1g @LoftusSteve Not quite, quite a lot of people want it, but they don't have the money to buy it. In fact they have to be paid to take it.

💯 Burnham is becoming living proof of the poor marketing manager. Keep going back to the public to tell them that poor sales are due to the public not understanding how good the product really is; we just need to reinforce the message. Sadly, the product doesn't sell because nobody wants it, and as with every Labour government that pushes it.... it does not work!!

He keeps getting worse somehow. He's a walking cliche. He's still thinks Thatcher is the root of all evil and we need more council houses, more union power, more nationalisation and bigger Government. He's fighting imagined 40 year old battles. He has no clue.
James Heale@JAHeale

Andy Burnham’s speech will promise a “distinctly Labour” future with “courage to fix the big things that politics has neglected.” It will argue that “Britain took a series of wrong turns in the 1980s” when “political power was centralised and economic power privatised.”

@EssexPR One isn't at all linked to the other. Under 16s can't smoke or drink either. Do you want under 16s to be able to buy energy drinks or not? You failed to comment on the actual policy.

@AdamShame3 @AllisonPearson @Jebadoo2 I stated nothing about morals, just the law. She would have got 42 weeks. She got 25% off for pleading guilty at her plea hearing. Mitigation. She was informed and accepted what the consequences might be. At appeal, she accepted she signed the document below. This is fact

@Johnsinc @AllisonPearson @Jebadoo2 I thought 'pleading guilty' was supposed to mitigate against your offence. You seem to be saying that if you don't plead guilty you're morally, as well as technically, in the clear.

What he said was revolting, but I completely fail to see how it amounts to a criminal offence. In DPP v Redmond Bate Lord Justice Sedley memorably said free speech includes offensive speech. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@parkero86u34 @EssexPR Seriously? The one she pleaded guilty to and signed to say she understood the consequences. Section 19 Public Order act 1986. Specifically distributing material to stir up racial hatred. Category 1A (Incitement). Here is the endorsement.

@AllisonPearson @Jebadoo2 Because she pleaded guilty to Class A1 distribution of material with the intention to stir up racial hatred. Aka incitement .Starting sentence 36 months. She signed an document to state she knew that was what she was pleading too. This is a disgusting rant against a dead woman

@EssexPR There is a clip of him on here with another friend talking about using bullets. That is inciting violence and they crossed the line. If they are going to be charged it should be for that reason.

@parkero86u34 @EssexPR It's a disgusting tweet. Certainly brought her employers into disrepute. Legally, it's no where near a class A1 incitement to racial hatred, in a period of national unrest. I'd struggle to see which law this broke. Maybe a new online one.

@TheMEFC @MrNigelMirage @EssexPR She did get a lesser sentence. 25% off for pleading guilty at the plea hearing. It's a matter of record. However, if you haven't done it and plead not guilty you might not go to prison at all.

Brilliant… Man with no public mandate could choose a Chancellor with virtually no economic qualifications and no clear economic programme. She’ll be boxed in by Treasury mandarins, dictated to by the globalist OBR quango, bond markets, unions and overruled by Burnham’s own unelected advisers. What could possibly go wrong?

@ianmpage @renewablesmiffy @FarmingUK @RollsRoyce @Ed_Miliband They aren't comparable on the slightest . Even the French couldn't do a French style Nuclear roll out now. See the last three European nuclear projects. It's not solar OR nuclear. With hotter summers solar matches the summer day time energy profile, even with nuclear.

well the original comment I was having was on the 4000 acres solar farm I said in stead of that why don't they replace with nuclear tech. and over a 60 year term nuclear works out cheaper... I have solar but people have to understand they don't work at night and well in winter... So then people just say built batteries so in that case why not build nuclear...

@ianmpage @renewablesmiffy @FarmingUK @RollsRoyce @Ed_Miliband Milliband is reasonably pro nuclear. He took on the 2008 the labour white paper on Nuclear (10 sites). Cameron and Clegg ditched it Wind turbines aren't Chinese. Top 5 suppliers are western. Siemens and Vestas top 2,the majority (83%) Issue is recent nuclear costs/overrun
