I just left the @Penn M&T to build @Seda_AI_, a social AI startup. On the last day before move in I called Peter D'Ambrosio from the @theresidency, an accelerator program backed by @sama, frantically asking if there were any rooms available in the houses. He told me there was 1 spot left in the inventors house. That's when I decided to leave my education, and over $80k in scholarships, and move to San Francisco. It's liberating working on things you love 24/7. That said, I'd be lying if I said I don't miss college and the friends I made over the past six months. As a person who's had mixed and contrarian views on eduction, I felt like there was some greater calling out for me in SF, surrounded by the brightest minds in tech. Hence, I'm treating my time here as another form of education: learning by doing, failing fast, and inventing in a new space. More than anything, I didn't want to half-ass my education while working on a project I believed deserved my full attention. Want to thank the @AforeVC team for writing our first venture check and supporting me way before Seda even existed. And to my parents, who believed in me enough to support this decision.
