@DrSuneelDhand @SandraDunn1955 Absolutely. Just spent a few days with my brother in hospital. He has leukemia and low white blood cells. He was transferred mid blood transfusion from one ward to another. The new space hadn't been cleaned at all so I deep cleaned it myself.

@GBPolitcs @Geordie453 Probably worth asking what all this money is buying
What exactly do donors want and expect in exchange for their millions?
And how do we ensure that political parties prioritise the interests of VOTERS over donors?
English

@deblesurf @Common_Sense_91 @GBPolitcs If the Greens don't have large donors and the majority of their money comes from the members then that means they look after the interests of the people not the donors.
English

@Common_Sense_91 @GBPolitcs Amazing that the super wealthy don't want to give them any money. I just can't understand it. Less amazing that they're winning anyway.
English

@ZackPolanski @JosephW56436640 The Greens have attracted hundreds of ex-Labour voters who are disgusted with Starmer & his gang of yes-men. I joined the Green Party today having voted exclusively for Labour since the 1970s.

@VoteGreen29 @GrisdaleJohn @TheGreenParty @AdrianRamsay @GreenJennyJones @carla_denyer @natalieben @sianberry @EllieChowns Absolutely love this! What a wonderful sight.
English

The @TheGreenParty family in Westminster. 2 peers, 5 MPs and 3 greyhounds (visiting for the day.)

English

@TheGreenParty Huge congratulations, what an amazing campaign with so much hard work from so many people. Hannah will make an amazing MP
English

@NickHartley @TheGreenParty Hope you are having a great day out there Nick!
English

Gorton and Denton and, indeed, Burnage bound!
Excited to be leading one of the Burnage #GetOutTheVote teams tomorrow.
Here’s to Hannah Spencer and the big last push to turn four @TheGreenParty MPs into five #GortonAndDenton
You can do this Manchester!

English

@AllyFogg @JosephW56436640 What a wonderful sight! Such a fantastic turnout.
English

@BibFortuna11064 @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty That brings us right back to the original argument. If there was more money to invest in and offset such things, then it makes our industry viable, we are more sustainable and don't need to import as much, therefore more revenue.
English

@SediniGirl @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty There's the Norman Tebbit speech again. Hatfield Colliery closed 10 years ago, it was a productive & profitable pit then the Carbon Tax made its output unsaleable. Warehouses around Stainforth are no substitute & the pay is terrible but you'll never work in warehousing will you?
English

Gorton & Denton we will be on our way!
Last night, we voted at our members meeting, to agree to come and help @McrGreenParty
The local Green Party stepped down for us recently, helped us beat Reform so now we return the favour.
The Left paying it forward ✊

English

@BibFortuna11064 @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty You can if you pair it with a DRI, like HYBRIT in Sweden.
Can't imagine anyone enjoys having their likelihood taken away (we generally all hate change), but providing support and training is key and may even lead to something better.
English

@SediniGirl @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty Electric arc furnaces planned to replace the blast furnaces at Port Talbot will only produce secondary steel which won't have the tensile strength for infrastructure. Primary steel will need to be imported. Just transition? Spoken by the people whose livelihoods are not affected.
English

@BibFortuna11064 @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty If carbon intensive jobs are removed, it needs to be done properly, hence my reference to a just transition. Physically and chemically, green steel is the same as normal steel - the green element is the making of it not the end result.
English

@SediniGirl @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty Greens haven't been in power but the agenda has, Cameron introduced the Carbon Tax which cost 1000s of jobs. The Norman Tebbit speech is cold comfort & galling coming from the Left. Green steel is for tin cans, only primary steel made with coke can be used for infrastructure.
English

@BibFortuna11064 @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty Greens haven't been in power so who exactly did this? We do however believe in a just transition, where there is massive investment in retaining programmes, in green steel, breaking the link between electricity and gas prices along with warmer, more insulated homes.
English

@SediniGirl @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty You've ended coal-fired electricity generation throwing coal miners & power workers out of work & making electricity prices sky high, you've decimated the UK steel industry & now thousands of oil & gas workers are heading for the scrapheap. The Greens are Thatcher on steroids.

@BibFortuna11064 @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty This is the usual argument. We aren't net zero but working towards it. We car shared. Individual actions won't save the planet, but will need a government push and get the corporations to act.
English

@SediniGirl @redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty Was your journey really necessary & what was the collective carbon footprint from all those Greens travelling to Waverley Valley from different parts of the UK? Did you all cycle there? Practice what you preach & all that
English

@redrumlisa @broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty I would do it. I went down from the north east to campaign in Waveney Valley to get Green MP Adrian Ramsay elected. Lots of people from outside the area. Not one resident minded and in fact, it made them appreciate the support Adrian had.
English

@broxtoweindys @McrGreenParty I wouldn't do this. Just because filling a community with outsiders for 1 day pushing whatever politics pisses off people who live there. Look at the Momentum model of sending Momentum members to working class communities caused antogonism & political failure
English

It's about time that Westminster started representing the majority by electing actual workers who we have something in common with. There's far too many elites who don't know the struggles the majority of us face.

"I want to see tradespeople on the benches in parliament, cleaners, taxi drivers, people who work in takeaways. Whatever job, people who keep this country going should get a seat at the table" Hannah Spencer, the Green Party candidate for Gorton & Denton 🎯
English

@ZackPolanski Look like an amazing turnout out this morning! Safe travels 🚀
English

@SiriusSolo @owenjonesjourno No, but it's not executive salary either and certainly not the millionaire bracket. I grew up in a council house under extreme poverty but I'm now a part time chartered accountant for a charity . I still think of myself as working class.
English

@SediniGirl @owenjonesjourno Looking at the document, he is actually a "associate principal scientist".
Pretty sure Astrazeneca didn't just pay him minimum wage.
English

Look at the desperation of Reform's online troll army
The Green Party candidate in Gorton and Denton is a working-class plumber
That has driven them mad, and they're resorting to claiming she can't be working-class because of the town she lives in
How does that make sense 😂
Spirited1@helen_spirit1
@owenjonesjourno She now lives in Hale which is in the top 10% wealthiest towns in the UK. It has over 300 millionaires where 1 in 20 residents are millionaires 🤣
English

@SiriusSolo @owenjonesjourno She does. There's been reports he's an high flying executive, but he's an associate scientist. This is listed in her declaration of interests as a councillor.
