Sadiq Khan just refused to commit to no more new build leasehold buildings in London. Literally moments after banging on about how bad leasehold is and that it's a feudal system. The Labour hypocrisy knows no ends. What do they stand for other than to protect wealth & power?

While initially lobbying US President Donald Trump against attacking Iran, MEE reported that Saudi Arabia and the UAE are shifting closer to backing the war, with Riyadh moving to open King Fahd Air Base in Taif, in Western Saudi Arabia, to the Americans

@BpsmithUk He could have mentioned some of that instead of, or even as well as, attacking Faffage on the other stuff. He made it easy for them to write this headline by ignoring an opportunity that was handed to him on a plate.

On the contrary, "Smash the gangs" has resulted in over 4000 arrests, 900 gangs smashed, half the boats attempting to launch being stopped, thousands of rubber boats & motors seized, importers closed down & 38,000 people with no right to be here deported *in 1 year* under Labour.

“Smash the gangs has been a total abject failure” On English Channel small boat crossing numbers, Nigel Farage asks PM “what is plan B?” Keir Starmer says the Reform UK leader has “absolutely no judgement” and attacks his stance on Iran war #PMQs bbc.in/47UF06x

This is where we're at @TomSwarbrick1, can retweet a tweet calling Muslims smelly and quietly unretweet knowing that nothing will happen. Gary Lineker lost his job because he didn't see a rat emoji in a clip.

NEW: Will Google's AI hype man kill the BBC? I've written about Matt Brittin because the coverage of his time at Google is shockingly naive. The BBC's next DG made his career as a yes man at a rapacious AI monopoly that preys on news journalism in order to destroy it. 1/

@jessicaelgot This is correct, WhatsApp doesn't store messages on their servers, they are transmitted then stored only on your phone - this is one reason for the "privacy" it offers - they can't be subpoenaed to release them because they don't have them, unlike others e.g. Telegram.

It’s definitely possible to lose WhatsApp messages if your phone is stolen. I didn’t realise mine weren’t backing up and lost about a years worth when I changed phones. It was very annoying but I should have checked. Also, I’m not the prime minister’s chief of staff…

@Heccles94 Good questions, although terror-related incidents aren't usually covered, if that's how it's been categorised. Also, the replacements are on loan, presumably until permanent replacements are sourced.

Hi Wes, I appreciate the support and display of solidarity. We cannot allow antisemitism or any forms of hate to win, but three very important questions. 1) Were the ambulances not insured? I thought every ambulance had to be to carry a patient. 2) Will this be the same for any private sector or charity sector health provider going forward? 3) Is this coming from the NHS budget or another budget? Thanks,
Wes Streeting@wesstreeting

@Councillorsuzie Yep - four ambulances with them now are on loan. We’re funding permanent replacements, too. That means that the money being donated will deliver over and above what they had before the attack: stronger, not weaker. Hate can’t win.

@shashj @owenjonesjourno Shashank, you didn’t just uncritically report these claims (which were being used by Israel to drum up support for genocide) you then implied anyone who questioned them had ulterior motives. x.com/michaeljswalke…

Is everyone just memory-holing that back in October the head of Israel’s national forensic unit said babies were beheaded, our establishment press went along with it, anyone who didn’t was demonised, and then it turned out to be completely untrue?

BREAKING: Sitting Labour Councillors in Lewisham, Rudi Schmidt and Tauseef Anwar announce that they have defected to the Green Party. Councillor Schmidt said the following to Novara Media: " I really respect my Labour Party colleagues and listen, there's a lot of hard-working and caring councillors, but what's wrong with the Labour Party really is the national party and the grip it has across local councils. There's developed like a fear, a culture of fear, the fear of speaking out on injustice, as fear of speaking out against austerity, a fear of speaking out against the Labour Party's complicity in Gaza, and I think that almost all authoritarian way of operating has filtered down to local councils"
