i find it so strange when people say they can't afford kids. your ancestors were able to afford kids for the last 300,000 years! are we *really* less wealthy now? you might think your parents were better off, but how about further back? they still went on.

@weldon15 I tend to forget about it too, luckily- til something reminds me. At least my mom sent me a happy Valentine’s Day text- and reminded me that it’s also Oregon’s birthday, which is the occasion I prefer to acknowledge on this date. So happy 166th to my state!

I received some generous help in response to this request- as a result I still have car insurance (yay!) & was able to replenish basic necessities that I *really* needed- I’m SO grateful.

My dad is traveling a lot this year for his job. I always feel kinda nervous when he flies (probably irrationally, since flying is *statistically* much safer than driving) - but he flies home tomorrow from his current trip, then out again in a week, and …I don’t like it, is all.
