This paper is part of my DPhil at @SociologyOxford and thanks UTokyo for hosting my visit in Japan

The core argument is that through future-making, workers recover a sense of security over their futures, but future-making also normalises and reproduces precarity. I discussed some implications on collective contestations of precarity in the conclusion

Waiting 7 months to get a rejection after resubmitting an R&R really hits different.
