@manaman_chhina I don’t think all should be demolished, they are heritage in a way, but definitely more economical use of the land. Most MPs, officers, Generals can be in apartments. No country has such luxurious housing for Parliamentarians, on such prime real estate.

Not cool. You can dislike a Prime Minister, disagree with a government, protest, debate and vote differently. That’s democracy. But reducing the office of India’s Prime Minister, the man, the office, and what he represents abroad, to a joke on foreign soil -doesn’t feel like the right thing or dissent - to me. It diminishes him, the institution, and ultimately, us.

Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes. He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader. I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.

A little disappointing that RBI has given just 2.86 lakh crore as a dividend to the government. They had nearly 4 lakh crore of profit. And yet, chose to keep a substantial portion of it into their CRB - a risk buffer they have never had to use ever, and won't. The official reason is to maintain 6.5% as a buffer. I hope they sell their gold now, reduce the balance sheet size which is extremely bloated, and can return even more. But these hopes, they just remain hopes. We deserve better.

No sir, we have. Unfortunately, many of us were thrown out of our jobs and stopped being counted as part of India’s “press corps” precisely because we asked tough ques to the govt. India still has some of the finest independent journalists doing real journalism and asking difficult ques .. often at the cost of being silenced in more ways than one. More power to Helle, absolutely. But even more power to those journalists in India who have been doing this for years, under far harsher circumstances, with far more at stake.
