@NHKWORLD_News Enjoyed this episode. Can you please include voiceover for the subtitled portions and/or have a darker background for subtitles for accessibility? Thank you!

1/2 @QuickBooks Please stop constantly changing your layout & system. It doesn't help ppl w/various disabilities to need to re-learn a program. Also, your layouts are difficult for visually impaired ppl since there's so much unnecessary clutter and it's hard to enlarge text.

If you're in a med program, please advocate for more disability history, more disabled speakers, and more justice-oriented legislation. And for the love of God please LISTEN to disabled patients. We know our bodyminds best. #MedEd #DisabilityTwitter #DisabilityPrideMonth 17/17

Public service announcement (especially, but not only, for academics): Microphones are directional. Don’t just hold it vaguely near your head. YOU HAVE TO POINT IT AT YOUR MOUTH! And don’t gesture with it. Keep it pointed at the talkie hole. Please.

Anne Boleyn & Jane Seymour had the same great-grandmother. Elizabeth Cheney (d. 1473) was married first to Sir Frederick Tilney and then to Sir John Say. Both marriages produced children, including Elizabeth Tilney, Anne's grandmother & Anne Say, Jane’s grandmother.

@NatlParkService No but I learned this week while listening to a book on Broadway musical history that I only knew the "On Top of Old Smokey" parody about spaghetti. The original is bleak.

This year's theme of National Park Playlist celebrates musical connections to national parks and the American story. Are you ready to press play on an amazing visit to a national park?

There are SO many cool CFPs and CFAs out but none halve alt text. Please make sure disabled people can access your media! Use the alt text function, add a accessible Google Doc to the thread, but dont just presume someone can read the smallest photo of a detailed poster

Have you seen any red-winged blackbirds lately? These birds can be found across much of the U.S. and Mexico year-round, but those that breed in parts of the north, including much of Canada can only be found in the summer. 📷 Jim Hudgins/USFWS

@DisabledAcadem I'm sorry, that's awful. I'd reply and point that out. They likely are clueless and need it spelled out, which I know shouldn't be our job.

I got back "no worries! Thanks!" Like this level of casual callousness is so exhausting. No worries? I trekked 60 min around campus when that is HARD for me. I lost my OWN lunch time to make it to this event I was asked to attend. No worries? 5/6
