Israelis and Palestinians equally have a right to live in safety and security. The current violence has deprived both communities of this basic right. This morning, the UN Security Council will meet to discuss the crisis and how to end the cycle of violence.

@RepBarbaraLee (2) all you have to say is “ceasefire”? You’re fighting against one system of oppression while staying silent against another. You can’t claim to be a justice fighter until you use your position to actually fight for it everywhere, no matter the political cost. Such hypocrisy.

It is of the utmost necessity that an immediate ceasefire be put in place and further bloodshed averted. The alternative is an unfolding human tragedy of unimaginable dimensions.   Long-deferred issues demand attention, but a ceasefire comes first.

It is critical that the Biden Administration continue to work to reach a ceasefire agreement in Israel. Innocent Israelis and Palestinians are in danger.

I just heard an LA radio host say “happy fall! Tomorrow’s gonna be in the 80s so whip out those hoodies” and I’ve never felt more out of place in this city
