@ChennaiRains Salem lashed by a massive thunderstorm during early hours

Many places in Tamil Nadu came under intense thunderstorms after midnight in what was possibly the last spell of widespread storms due to the dipping Westerly Trough. From today thunderstorms are expected to greatly reduce with atmospheric instability fading. Few places in South TN though could get some rains today while temperatures are also expected to climb up from today with summer returning back early next week.

Please don't compare both, Chennai is at 7m altitude nearby coast whereas Bangalore is at 900m altitude in interior. No way Bangalore can be hot as Chennai because the humidity levels in Bangalore is so low where the actual feels like is a lot lesser comparing Chennai.
