@GordonGChang Yawn. I think the CIA is the only one buying copies of your silly books. Keep cashing those checks, buddy. It’s insane anybody even listens to you. I just enjoy making fun of you. By the way, how’s your “China’s Coming Collapse” prediction going? Clown.

@thecyrusjanssen You pretend to be somebody who knows a lot about China. But many dynasties in China lasted for hundreds of years…longer than the U.S. has existed and much longer than the CCP. China has not had stability under the CCP: see Great Leap Forward, Cultural Revolution, Tiananmen

Complete and utter nonsense. If you knew anything about China, you would know that stability (稳定) means everything to Chinese people. Throughout their 5,000 year history China was nothing but unstable (不稳定). Dynasties rose and fell for thousands of years until the current Chinese government came to power and established that stability for the nation. You might not like that (we all know you hate it) but it doesn’t matter what you and I, both outsiders in China, think about the government. China is for Chinese people and their government is one of the most supported governments in the world, because it offers that stability. You are simply a war monger and trying to push propaganda that China wants to take over the world and therefore is a threat to US interests. This is completely false and both nations needs each other and should be working with each other. Grateful more people are waking up to this idea and walking away from the propaganda you and other US think tanks are promoting

Stop saying that Xi wants stability. He doesn't want stability, he wants to increase China's power globally. That is intensely destabilizing. You can love China or hate it, you can feel like the Chinese Communist Party is good for the world or bad: stability in U.S.-China relations does not help Xi Jinping accomplish his international goals. Why do people keep making this mistake? Because they keep taking Xi Jinping's remarks at face value. It's a mistake journalists don't make nearly as often with politicians, but somehow, they decide that Xi communicates what he actually means.

@MAGAVoice That’s because you’re a typical Trumptard who doesn’t pay attention. Xi has been saying that basically since he took power in 2012. But how much does he actually mean it? Hard to say for sure

@BonnieGlaser @marcorubio Well, you can only fight so many wars at one time. Those of you who aren’t actually needing to fight the wars you send other people to die in forget that sometimes. But luckily the ordinary Americans who do die in them are getting tired of being killed for the elites’ power games

@BonnieGlaser The Taiwan issue is a core Chinese interest because China needs Taiwan to dominate Asia, strengthen its tech capabilities, and weaken the West. Once it controls Taiwan, the Taiwan Strait, and the South China Sea, the U.S. will be forced out of the Asia-Pacific.

In the phone call today between Rubio and Wang Yi, Wang explicitly linked US policy toward Taiwan with potential US-China cooperation. “The Taiwan question concerns China’s core interests and is the biggest risk point in China-U.S. relations. The U.S. side should honor its commitments, make the right choice, open up new space for China-U.S. cooperation, and make due efforts for world peace.”

@thecyrusjanssen Many, or even most, of those minorities in those regions controlled by the CCP don’t WANT to go to other regions in China. They want to stay in their region and speak their language and make decisions for themselves rather than have the CCP dictate to them what’s “best” for them.

Wow this is absolutely disgusting propaganda from the Economist. Literally the only truthful thing said in this video is that China is home to 56 ethnicities. Everything else is a pathetic attempt to smear China in the most negative way possible. But let's break down the facts of what's really happening in China👇 Most people don't know that China is home to over 300 different languages. You've probably heard of Mandarin and Cantonese as these are the two most spoken languages in China, but there are literally hundreds of other languages spoken by different groups of people depending on the region. In Shanghai, locals speak Shanghainese, in Chongqing the speak a local Chongqing dialect, travel throughout the country and local languages are EVERYWHERE. But in order to move forward as one nation, China absolutely needs to have a national language that all people speak. That language is Mandarin and it's what is taught at all Chinese schools. Children in Xinjiang, Tibet, and Inner Mongolia ALL speak their local languages, but if you grow up speaking ONLY your local language you become a minority in your own country. You can not move to another region or city in China because you simply can not communicate. This is something Americans have no concept of. In the United States we only have English and you can travel to all 50 states and the English language is practically identical. Sure certain words and phrases are used in different regions, but 99.9% of the English words are the same. This is why so many Americans/Westerns fail to understand China, they simply can't comprehend how diverse and unique China is as a country. Travel to Xinjiang and the Uighur language is EVERYWHERE. It's printed on billboards, signs, heard on the radio, TV, and everywhere in the streets. The same can be said for Tibet and Inner Mongolia. China is not "squashing" 55 ethnicities. They are embracing them and wanting every Chinese person to be included in the development of the country's future. Consider this, throughout the entire "one child policy" period (1980-2015). Ethnic minorities were ALWAYS exempt from this rule and allowed to have as many children as they wanted. If China's government really wanted to "squash" all minorities , why would the government allow them to produce as many babies as possible for 35+ years. Once again, you can tell this is lazy journalism from the Economist whose writers have not spent enough time on the ground in China to truly understand how the country works. But don't take my word for it, nor take this report from the Economist as truth. Simply book a ticket to China and go see it for yourself. China is now on track to become the world's biggest tourism economy in 2026 and reports like this from the Economist will simply fall on deaf ears as hundreds of thousands of foreigners continue to pour into China and see the truth financialpost.com/news/economy/c…
The Economist@TheEconomist

There are 56 ethnicities in China—and 55 are getting squashed. A new law passed by the Chinese legislature is a grim milestone in the Communist Party’s harder-line approach to ethnic politics econ.st/4vK4oX4

I told @jamespomfret that China's information warfare against Taiwan “creates an environment in which China can more easily win support, because its strategy really is to lower morale, instill a sense of psychological despair, convince people they have no future in being autonomous and their best option is to join up with China” reuters.com/world/china/ch…
