@DanRamo07555230 @Pirat_Nation I generally agree but I think the Startmenu of Win10 was actually great. It was a great hybrid and decluttered the desktop and taskbar when you used it as organized storage for shortcuts. Although the big widgets are stupid except for specific usecases.

@Pirat_Nation Idiots. People just wanted the simple and uncluttered START menu list they had from Windows 95 through Windows 7. It was logical and made sense. Now it's all blocks, widgets, ads and bullshit. Who asked for that?

Microsoft has started rebuilding the Windows 11 Start menu from scratch with WinUI 3. Expect noticeably quicker loading times and truly instant search results in the new design. The menu will also let you freely resize it between compact and expanded views by dragging the edges, and you’ll be able to hide whole sections like Pinned, Recommended, or the full All apps list whenever you want. These updates finally respond to years of user feedback about the current version’s stiff layout and lack of real customization options.
