During the Virus of Inequality Symposium, we welcomed friends & “femtors” to the Senate — Jean Augustine, the first Black Canadian woman MP, and Michele Landsberg, a trailblazing feminist author & activist.

For over 50 years, the Volunteer Cooperation Program has championed Canadian volunteers who, working alongside and learning from local partners abroad, have become powerful ambassadors of our country's values. Glad to celebrate the VCP with civil society partners and parliamentary colleagues at a breakfast roundtable.

The #SpringEconomicUpdate includes a $6B investment in the skilled trades — key in implementing major projects like #WindWest and a #NationalElectricityGrid. I asked @pierremmoreau how this will support projects that can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and grow the economy. 🌱

Today I asked Minister @timhodgsonmt how Bill S-4 will help with the energy transition. He said, Canadians having efficient appliances, will be key to reaching net zero, he also hinted at the government's upcoming electricity strategy being a key part in the energy transition.
