Honored to spend a few moments with advocate and actress Alyssa Milano at the Survivor Justice Center Gala. As we were both recognized for our work, we spoke about the responsibility of using our platforms to uplift vulnerable communities and push for lasting change.

Today, I joined the San Bernardino County Police Chiefs and law enforcement leaders from across the Inland Empire in Sacramento to meet with members of our legislative delegation and advocate with a united voice for public safety. Together, we discussed the implementation and long-term impact of Proposition 36, the need for sustainable funding opportunities for local law enforcement, and policy solutions to increase accountability for repeat offenders who continue to impact our communities. When law enforcement speaks with one voice, it reinforces the importance of ensuring our agencies have the tools, resources, and support necessary to protect the people we serve.
