Meet Iowan Denise Schwab whose life has been rooted in agriculture. 🐮🐷🐴 From a childhood spent “helping” in the milking parlor to a 43-year career with @ISUExtension, she has been a passionate advocate for women in agriculture, showing they belong and thrive in the industry. After being told as a young girl that ag classes weren’t for her, she turned doubt into motivation and chased her dream, now helping other young women pave their own path in agriculture. In this #YearoftheWomanFarmer, we celebrate her and the countless women who help feed and fuel our nation and the world every day.

I applaud @POTUS for recognizing the vital role our farmers play in our food, fiber, and fuel. We’ve accomplished much in the last year and there’s a lot of work ahead. Congress must do more to address the needs of rural America, like providing short-term assistance and long-term solutions like the Buying American Cotton Act and a new Farm Bill. Producers in Mississippi expect us to get the job done. 🇺🇸

Great to be at the White House to celebrate American agriculture today. We appreciate @POTUS and @SecRollins for recognizing the vital contributions of our farmers and ranchers, as well as the challenges they face. The President highlighted big wins we secured for farm country in the One Big Beautiful Bill, including critical improvements to crop insurance affordability and ARC and PLC reference prices. Importantly, the President agreed with the need for additional agriculture assistance to help get our producers to October when these provisions fully kick in. We look forward to working with the administration to advance this assistance for our producers and other priorities to help keep rural America strong.

Whether boiled or roasted, there is no snack I like more than Alabama peanuts. But if we don’t do something now to help our peanut producers, we are going to lose them. Had a great meeting with the Alabama Peanut Producers Association today to discuss how we can give our farmers a helping hand.
