The missing WSO from the shot-down USAF F-15E is now safe and back in American hands. An officer involved in monitoring the CSAR in southern Iran describing the aviator’s incredible tenacity: “He evaded up a 7k ridge. They’ve been schwackin’ dudes chasing him all day. Was nuts.” #iran #csar

@kausmickey I was wrong about those being Fox anchor's words... I did a search and it seems she was reading directly from the 2023 press release announcing the crew. So, the "first talk" was indeed from NASA, but the Biden era NASA. 2023 Press Release: nasa.gov/news-release/n…

@SeriousCat5000 Good point. But FOX hyped it. Trumpies can't get FOX the message about the anti-DEI party line? In any case it shows that the fabled "vibe shift" brought by Trump hasn't gone all that far.

@kausmickey I think you are mistakenly attributing the words of Fox's Sandra Smith to the NASA director who's only quoted here saying "All four astronauts will represent the best of humanity as they explore for the benefit of all". The first talk was from Smith.

@SeriousCat5000 He had no control over the crew selection. He had control over whether NASA hyped the ID-politics "firsts" in a cliche way that suggested to everyone that's why they were chosen.

@kausmickey Were you not suggesting he should exercised control over who was selected for the mission?

@shipwreckedcrew The share ought to be far lower considering the rise of information technology since the 1960s.

Nightmare: Eventually 10 million Chinese nationals become U.S. citizens via birthright citizenship. Vote by mail adopted nearly nationwide. Vote by mail ballots forwarded en masse to US citizens who are actually Chinese nationals. CCP directs mass mail-in of ballots all in favor of the same candidate. CCP controls outcome of U.S. POTUS elections.

@saveusculture There's not much of a nicer user experience than a Windows XP running off hardware circa 2009 installed on an SDD. IIRC, boot times were around 22 seconds and everything expect for PhotoShop stated up instantly (PS still took 3-6 seconds).

In the next video I will use the 286 that is sitting underneath the monitor in this one. I'm thinking I'll try Windows 2.1 and Word 1.0. That will be uncharted territory for me. I use the 286 a lot, but I have no idea how well Windows will run on it. Time to find out.
AC@saveusculture

From startup to shutdown, loading Windows 3.1, MS Word, and MS Excel on a 386DX-33 with 8MB of RAM, a significantly slower machine than the emulated one in the original video. And guess what? The user interface is still plenty responsive. 2000x less RAM than a typical modern PC

Normal person says fix dark mode, fix the retweet notification bug, stop introducing regressions, stop responding to mass reporting, give us whole account region blocking, not “podcast feature” lol.

@0x49fa98 I've never counted calories but I don't eat anything before 10pm, aside from a small spoon of sugar in my 2-3 coffees, but when I do eat late at night I eat as much as much as I want. I full dinner, desserts, soda and sugary juices. Never been above 154 lbs.

anyone who has seriously tried to lose weight will be familiar with this math: A pound of fat has 3500 calories in it. To lose a pound of fat, you have to exist in a caloric deficit equal to this amount of calories. There are confounders such as metabolic adaptation
