Others may try to rebrand it as backward and archaic, but we live in a society that only knows surrender. Surrendering its liberties during a “pandemic.” Surrendering truth to media distortion. Surrendering national identity to globalism. Surrendering democracy to “pool sovereignty.” It is not a doctrine of no compromise or intransigence, but a clarion call declaring that there are certain values and beliefs that are so intrinsic to one’s identity, they are not prepared to part from.

Went into a shop in Dublin City centre this evening. Went to pay at the till said hello smiled & handed my items to the cashier who was chatting to his mate. He continued to chat with his mate for the entire transaction without once looking at or even acknowledging my existence.
