@JaidevJamwal Long-term LNG contracts have an obligation to buy annual fixed quantities at agreed rates. Payment is mandated even if there is a shortfall at the purchaser's end to take the annual fixed quantity. Look up "take or pay clause" online.

Pakistan signed a deal with Qatar under which they are forced to pay for LNG even if they are unable to take deliveries. Then they tried to unsuccessfully renegotiate the terms as the economic downturn made it impossible for them to make use of even half of it. Now they are trying to sell the excess imported gas it has caused loss of PKR 1000 billion to their economy in just 6 years😆 What no one is mentioning is the nexus of uniforms who made 100s of crores via kickbacks for this deal.
