I asked Svechnikov today on his response to Kleven's hit on Nikishin: "Scary hit. When I saw Niki laying on the ice, I just tried to jump the guy because when you play the physical game and you try to hurt someone, that's what's gonna happen."

Stewart Johnson and the CFL owners are really testing my patience as a fan of this league. The care is slowly escaping me. This doesn't bring in new fans, in fact non-fans will just mock you for this, and you piss off current fans. Interesting business model.

A) Yes. The organization has been screaming from the rooftops all season about how good that line is, and people are finally catching on.
B) I don't think he'll continue to be a .955, but can he carry the load? I think so.
C) It's been so much better since Slavin came back. Their overall stats don't reflect how good it has been once he returned. Slavin played 10:14 (!!) of Carolina’s 13:21 shorthanded minutes last night.

The Gen 8 NASCAR needs to be based entirely on the Gen 4. A modernized version of it.
It is inarguable that the Gen 4 put on the best racing in NASCAR history. Just facts.
Add all modern safety enhancements & equipment to make them safe, then have the manufacturers build brand new 900 HP engines.

19 of 20 NHL players studied after death have had CTE. I doubt a single player on the ice knows that, so they choose to give each other brain injuries "as part of the game". When they meet again in a dementia clinic in a few decades, I suspect they'll regret playing this way

@ThruTheEsses Gen 4 with the Hans Device and Safer Barriers are literally safer than Gen 7 cars. That soft body absorbs energy as it shreds and deforms, whereas the brick they drive now puts impacts straight into drivers if they aren't mitigated by safer barriers.
(Gen 5 is safest though)
