Absolutely no one needs to be defending this defense after tonight. It’s completely embarrassing that Jack Leiter has to eat 5 ER and a loss in that gem of a start. • The Burger misplay had a .250 xBA. Easy double play and inning ender. • The Smith misplay had a .180 xBA. Also would have ended the inning. This isn’t JV baseball. It’s the major leagues. The offense didn’t improve enough this season for the defense to go from best in the league to middle of the pack. Both plays HAVE to be made to keep this game at a two-run deficit.

but many other comments on this issue are identical with my own, presumably posted by men. yet, you don't accuse these others of being "childless" & attribute their political sentiments to that condition. what sort of sick misogyny leads someone like you to single out a woman for an ad hominem attack? having no children is a purely volition choice for many women & men, who are content with their choice; it has no inevitable political association. there are plenty of more sensible quotes from Orwell who would have gagged at this silly quote you have dragged out of the trash bin of history & have labeled "wisdom."

A good education should teach us the logical fallacy of generalizing where “generics” are unwarranted. Politics is poisonous because its vocabulary is blunt & flat as a viper’s face. Either/or is the debased cousin of both/and. Yes—there are surely racists in the US; but they do not constitute the US. Why make statements like this except to further the division?

@wynrosei yes lined up, sometimes in line overnight for big acts, such as The Rolling Stones. Or, purchased at remote locations such as record stores. It was not a hardship, with no obscene hidden charges levied on top of the ticket price. We also talked to those in line next to us.

A lady saw me taking the picture, and I’m 90% certain she’s a schoolteacher. She asked if I approved. “Not even close.” We are now in an environment where calling for the death of a political opponent and a democratically elected president is not only acceptable but encouraged. It’s hard to see a future that doesn’t involve civil war. It’s no longer Democrats versus Republicans. We are not the same. Our beliefs are irreconcilable. It’s good versus evil.
