@Cakes6G @naomi2009 I’d say the north east coast (stones throw) from Newcastle is far picturesque to the east coast of anglia with its plain flat terrain, worked down that neck of the woods and it’s not a patch on North Yorkshire up to Berwick!

I lived up in Newcastle for year the cost of living up there is so much less than what it is down south, yes ppl are certainly more friendly up there and keen to get to know you but I missed what I left behind, especially our unique coastline of East Anglia and some of our secluded beaches and rivers, I do want to go back to visit the North but it isn't for me I'm afraid.

I have been up North this weekend as it is a bank holiday weekend in the UK. Some of you will remember my tweets when I went to Birmingham a few months ago. This time I was further North. Just want to say a few comments:- - The people up North are 300 times more friendly than people down south. I was constantly taken aback by it. - I saw so much wealth up North (I did in Solihull too). I saw endless electric cars - Teslas, Nissans, Volvos - people seemed well dressed and awash with cash. I have never seen so many electic cars down south. It was astonishing what is happening up there. - Coffee in cafes/restaurants are the same price as down south. It is not cheaper. - Quality of life seems better up North. - I had an amazing time. It is so important to get out of London and the south east and explore the UK every few months. There is so much more to Britain than London and it is the rest of Britain that decides general elections, not London. This is something many newcomers here don't realise. - The news in the UK is still completely focused on London and south east and nothing resonates with you when you go up North. They all seem in a bubble, especially politicians in Westminster. - The North seems like a great place to live and I highly recommend it. Young people should consider it for jobs and opportunities. I had such a refreshing break! Is anyone reading this up North?

@FivegeeM You are honestly retarded with this one. They are 24ghz mmwave sensors for presence. They are more accurate than the old motion sensors as they can detect micromovements in people and not movement from cars. I literally use the same technology in my house to turn on my lights.

This guy used a car jack to lift an entire sidewalk and injected polyurethane underneath to stabilize and level it. This type of job can cost all the way up to $25 a square foot. But….. hear me out here, what if we just kept the jack in the ground and buried the $50-$100 jack right where it’s at? Wouldn’t that save a ton of money? Could it work? Would it work?

@thahoneybadger2 @danitfc25 Don't think that's the reason, strelec and Conway are capable of scoring. Just teams go on runs where it doesn't drop, Coventry had a similar run. The answer isn't always throwing money at it. We could have spent another 4m and got another Sene, no guarantees money spent=goals

#boro fans need to give it a rest. The reason you went up wasn’t because of referees in Ipswich town games, it was due to this relegation form. #itfc Quite simple really

@chrisgambler247 this is what happens when you let people outside of parliament create laws. a bunch of opaque government organizations get created and are allowed to create 'guidelines' and 'recommendations' instead of laws and can ruin peoples lives with complete impunity

@justcalledtosay Season Ticket holders make a decision every year to commit a large sum of cash without knowing outcome of campaign. What’s more, ST holders only pay equivalent of £22 a match anyway. My gym is £60 a month, but £25 for a day pass - kinda same principal.

Is your summer holiday safe? As the government announces plans to deal with possible jet fuel shortages caused by the war in Iran, airlines will now be allowed to group passengers on different flights together on fewer planes. Send us your questions for Simon Calder to answer live on the show this morning.
