@IndieGameJoe I just followed you recently and it has been one of the best follows in a very long time. I have already come across a few games that immediately caught my interest, including this one. Keep it up (although I blame you for my backlog growing).

@psPlatiumPlus Unfortunately you don't own your game regardless of whether you have the physical version or the digital version. You are always just buying a license to acess the software. I have a physical copy of Concord that is a giant reminder.

A reminder to always support physical over digital 🗣️ We want to own our games not get a digital license

@wifibun I know what you are saying but I definitely didn't hate it. I gave it a good score. The internet turned a molehill into a mountain with this game, as it tends to do. It was a lot of fun and, yes, I played it launch.

@nintendo_chall @NintyPrime Taking away an option is never the better result. Plus key cards are still a physical release. If I want to buy Pokopia on key card, for example, I can still sell it back or give to a friend like I have done with traditional physical media.

@NintyPrime Not at all. Digital only release is better than GKC release. Buying GKC tells the publisher to keep making them. It's all about consumer power against zombie cards.

Is this really being celebrated. Unless they replaced it with a full physical cartridge (they didn’t) all you successfully did was take away a consumer option. I wouldn’t be celebrating that.

@binaryg0d @CrimsonDesert_ Would encourage you to look at our research. A hard-coded prompt to download an update is the absolute exception for a physical release these days. In fact, the vast majority of all physical releases comes with a fully playable build on card/disc still.

We would like to address questions regarding the use of AI in Crimson Desert. During development, some 2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools. These assets helped us rapidly explore tone and atmosphere in the earlier phases of production. However, our intention has always been for any such assets to be replaced, following final work and review by our art and development teams, with work that aligned with our quality standards and creative direction. Following reports from our community, we have identified that some of these assets were unintentionally included in the final release. This is not in line with our internal standards, and we take full responsibility for it. We also acknowledge that we should have clearly disclosed our use of AI. While these tools were primarily used during early production, with the expectation that these assets would be replaced prior to release, we recognize that this does not excuse the lack of transparency. We sincerely apologize for these oversights. We are currently conducting a comprehensive audit of all in-game assets and are taking steps to replace any affected content. Updated assets will be rolled out in upcoming patches. In parallel, we are reviewing and strengthening our internal processes to ensure greater transparency and consistency in how we communicate with players moving forward.

@wariocolosseum If I buy Pokopia on key card, as an example, I can still do the same things I would with a traditional physical release. If I play it for a few months and then decide to get rid of it, I can sell it to GameStop or on eBay or give it to a friend, just like always.

calling a game key card a “physical option” is so laughable… there’s literally nothing on that cartridge

@TheIshikawaRin Assassin's Creed is a great franchise and remains so today. I have either 1,000 gamerscore or a platinum in every mainline game. I thoroughly enjoyed Shadows, will jump right into the Black Flag remake, and await the next new game in the franchise.

I reinstalled Assassin's Creed Unity, mostly just to see how it runs on my 5070 Ti at 4K (pretty good if you're only using FXAA) and now I'm just sad at the current state of the franchise. Unity really was the pinnacle of the original style, then the RPG games ruined everything.

@CrimsonDesert_ This is exactly what I figured happened. It seems like you are taking the right steps to correct it and put something in place where it hopefully doesn't happen again.

@CoolGuy1999ish @Meu_amor786 @ThatBoyyCee Perhaps they want something different. As an example, there is a grocery store here that makes the absolute best "homemade" tortillas. I have seen them making them before. These tortillas are vastly superior to what I would get at Walmart/Target/Kroger/etc.

@Meu_amor786 @ThatBoyyCee True story. There is a store in my area that makes "homemade" tortillas that are so much better than the mass produced ones you typically see in grocery stores. I will go to that store just for the tortillas if I have to.

@DVADigital323 This is the correct way to approach things. Reviews are subjective and only one person's opinion. Watch all the videos and reviews you want but keep that in mind and form your own opinion based on your own experiences.

Honestly why do people watch reviews? Like if a game looks fun imma play it. I don’t give a shit if it’s a 10/10

Being a small creator is hard. The opportunities just aren't the same. I can't afford $70 to play all the new releases I don't get free consoles, or free key codes. From the marketing side I get it, you won't get as much reach from a small creator...just wish I was given the opp
