He will go down as a genuinely honourable public servant, and one of the most unfairly maligned leaders in modern British politics. He became a target of a new wave of politics driven by hostility, misinformation and propaganda, designed not to strengthen democracy, but to erode trust in it, whose goal is to concentrate power into the hands of those with the greatest wealth, resources and influence.

It's a long overdue, "game over" for serial grifter and corrupt politician, Nigel Farage. More evidence surfaced today, beyond the £5 million bung from last month, that Farage has received substantial, undisclosed funding from convicted criminal, George Cottrell. This is the end of Farage's political career, but just the beginning of the exposé against the man who has caused more financial damage to Britain than any other individual, through being the key figure behind Brexit. He is a political figure who has caused no end of division and hatred to spread across the UK, all whilst selfishly pursuing his personal enrichment, at the cost of hardworking UK families. His decades of grift and corruption are finally coming to an end, but the consequences for Farage will run many years into the future.

At Downing Street last night, I was pleased to have the opportunity to say thank you to @Keir_Starmer and his team for his and their service to our country and @UKLabour. A lot has been achieved in his period in office and he has restored the values of decency and integrity to public life. He leaves Britain in a stronger position than he found it, and Labour as a serious party of government again. I was particularly struck by his determination to do everything he can to constructively support his successor. Country first and with enormous good grace to boot. Thank you.

Im in the states right now and like in Britain, so many of the jobs cleaning, hospitality, social care, deliveries, drivers - are all done by immigrants. You can't rely on immigrant labour every day while pretending immigrants contribute nothing.
