Do you remember the 2 year plus closure of the Thames Path just west the Woolwich Ferry!?! Now try walking from the O2 back to Greenwich without using the riverside. Another massive set of detours for peds.

I walk 15 miles around London every day and you are the WORST borough for pavement diversions. Everytime you allow the pavement to be closed with massive detours. Someone at planning is not doing their job. This isn’t Active Travel it’s just allowing developers to take pavements.

@Royal_Greenwich Your StreetSpace program is a sham! Please try walking westwards on the A206 pavement from Woolwich Eliz Line. LHSide pavement closed due to building work. Then the RHSide is closed too due to building work. Where do us peds walk?

This hasn’t got anything to do with the law, who should do what, I’ve just been brought up to say thanks when a car slows down at a zebra crossing. Also, thanking a bus driver when you get off a bus. Things like that When I was on Room101 this is something I put in as my subject. As a pedestrian, I’d always thank a driver stopping so I can cross. Whether it’s my right of way or not. Sad state of affairs - the HC isn't enough so they have to paint signs on junctions where pedestrians ALREADY have priority. "People on foot already have priority over vehicles at side roads, but these road markings will remind everyone of what it says in the Highway Code"

NOPE if your property is not fit for human habitation, then you shouldn’t be letting it out. If you can’t afford to do repairs, you shouldn’t be letting out.
