@Shane17___ @JordanEVGuy Asking for car payment info and being spring loaded with your story of running an old car.
Bless 😍
What was the point?
You don’t need to buy a new EV to benefit from cheap running costs.
The old ones benefit too 💡

@Specialized_Cb @JordanEVGuy I was asking Jordan to be fair, it’s you who jumped in. Why a predictable response, just telling you what I have. You EV people are very sensitive. It’s very worrying that EV people act like they do, they are just cars.
English

@Shane17___ @JordanEVGuy A predictable response 🤦🏼♂️
I could buy an old EV tomorrow and owe nothing.
Also, without people buying new cars, your used car doesn’t exist 💡
Anyway, I’m glad you shared the story you were digging for 😝

@aston1970ap @AldiUK Aldi are fucking the Farmer over selling produce at this price.
English

@Specialized_Cb @JordanEVGuy I don’t spend that on petrol a year, And my 100k mile, 15yr old car is paid for.
English

@Shane17___ @JordanEVGuy I pay £750 per month for my car.
I chose to drive a new car, much cheaper options are available 😊
English

@Specialized_Cb @JordanEVGuy Monthly car payment please. You EV people never answer the question.
English

@Shane17___ @JordanEVGuy Fuel costs and depreciation :
-> New BMW iX EV and home charging : 46p a mile
-> New BMW X5 40d diesel and fuel : 90p a mile
The new diesel is 44p a mile more expensive
English

@Shane17___ @JordanEVGuy My car finance payment for my EV is less than it would cost for an equivalent diesel or petrol car 😊

We now have a specific deadline for this.
The last known crude and diesel shipments from the Middle East are expected to arrive in the UK between 5 and 15 April.
These are not new shipments. They are cargoes that loaded before the Strait of Hormuz closed five weeks ago. The ones that have been making their way here ever since. Once they dock, prices might genuinely explode.
The UK has four operating refineries. It had seventeen in the 1970s. It is now more dependent on imported refined fuel than almost any comparable economy in Europe.
That means when supply tightens, it hits here faster and harder than most.
Diesel has just recorded the biggest monthly rise on record, surging by about 40p per litre since late February, from around 142p to over 175p per litre
The window closes in less than two weeks.
After that, buyers have to source from further away at a higher cost. Longer routes = Higher prices.
And those costs end up in the price of everything that moves by road.
80% of UK goods travel by road.
The government says there is no shortage. The 5 to 15 April window is when we find out if that's true.

@BarrieCrampton Yawn. Had our 22 months. In the last 12 I’ve done 6000 miles for a total cost of £207 in “fuel” I’m never going back to ice.

@SkyNews @JayneSeckerSky Or you could pay ~£0.21 per litre equivalent with an EV 👍
English

BREAKING: The RAC says average petrol prices have now reached £1.52 a litre, the highest in 28 months, while diesel has surpassed £1.80.
Sky's @JayneSeckerSky reports.
