@orthodoxluigi It took me a lot of years to understand a few things. 1) Intercessory prayers to Saints isn’t worship 2) The Saints are alive and capable of petitioning God on our behalf 3) Even if 1 & 2 happen to not be true, God knows my heart and hears the prayer all the same

At least the “True Orthodox” don’t hem and haw about how “you don’t understand our system” like the Heers crowd does. The EP has consistently supported ecumenism for over a hundred years. If you call it heretical, you’re implicitly calling the EP heretical, even if you insist to the contrary. “Resist from within” is as unsustainable as the SSPX or sedevacantists in Catholicism.

I am firmly against like 90% of what Furtick and Bill Johnson teach. I think there’s SO many error being taught. However, their errors are infinitely less anti-gospel than Rome and Orthodoxy. They are also far more capable of true reformation, given their core doctrines on the gospel and scripture at least being solid in confession (obviously not in practice). I would choose their churches every day of the week over Rome or EO.

Our claim is that wolves began leading people astray in the 300s. That’s over 250 years post Jesus’s resurrection. Look at how, in the Bible, God’s chosen people often went astray within a generation. To argue that people can’t go astray that quickly is to ignore history.
