@JesseGladsaget @ChiefShif_ Came out about 2-3 years ago, basically a semi autobiography about Spielberg‘s life, to me the best thing he’s done since the 2000s
English

Respectfully Spielberg not on king Nolan’s level. Ain’t been since the turn of the century.

Nolan and Spielberg going band for band next summer, I’m gonna cry
English

@ChiefShif_ Spielberg hasn't dropped a certified classic since Catch Me If You Can. Nolan crushes him in the 21st Century

@Cindtrillella The truth is always best gray especially in series because we forget things and that could change the entire truth, it’s all about perspective so even walking things back later on in details is never harmful and could create more drama
English

@Cindtrillella I think you’ve avoided blatant spoiler territory so lean into it more, the grandchildren could definitely theorize the truth midway, but the audience will ask questions till the very end, and the search for more is always interesting if the grandkids especially are
English

I’ve established the first part in every season of my series because the grandchildren theorize what they’ve learned in their history class vs what their grandfather is telling them, and they try to figure out what parts is truth vs lies.

@Cindtrillella Or even having a little distance in the grand children’s relationship and the grandfather before could make it seem like they have an idea of the truth through their parents but not the full story Incendies is a movie I’m thinking of for this kind of story

@Cindtrillella I think writing separate scenes solely with the kids and the grandfathers kids inbetween, giving their side of the past, makes the story subjective to the person and the truth lies in the middle”. It could avoid spoilers and just create more intrigue in the conclusion

To any film lovers/screenwriters on my TL, I have a question in regards to my script.
I HATE “show the ending of the story, then revert back to the beginning to see how they got there” storylines because it legit spoils the show/movie, but my story is about a Grandfather telling his Grandchildren about what his life was about, so I jump back forth between flashbacks and current time involving Grandpas friends.
I *still* feel as if this is spoiling what’s going to happen to my characters, so how should I revise that? I can’t remove flashbacks for obvious reasons.

@GPIsCooked I wasn’t expecting Nickel Boys to make much noise this awards season, wish it got recognized in more categories but it is the best film of last year
