@IfindRetards I don’t really use sunscreen much at all my entire life. I only use if I might otherwise get burnt but that’s 3-4 times a year.

Conspiracy theorists are right again. Sunscreens in Australia contain potential endocrine disruptors and other chemicals which could impact fertility and mood. These chemicals are found in kids' and baby sunscreens. Many of us have been saying this for years

@KenCook_KC @CryptoMikli But it’s essentially the same as generating 7% growth on just under 500k now. It might be okay for a bit but might not go as far as you think. In a perfect world without many emergencies and just having stable expenses it would be fine but there’s usually stuff that comes up.

You forget that the $1.5m is generating its own income when invested. If you are getting 7% growth on average, you can spend $100k a year and the principal will stay about the same. Most retirees won’t spend that much, especially if they are collecting Social Security. So the $1.5m will likely grow over time. Also Social Security is indexed for inflation annually so you have that going for you too.

Kevin O'Leary says investing 15% of a $70K salary into the S&P 500 can turn into $1.5M by retirement “If you only put aside 15%, if you're making $70,000 a year and you put 15% aside from when you're 25 till 65, you have over a million and a half dollars if you just invested it in the stock index, in the S&P 500.” “But it's the people that don't even think ahead and find themselves at 45 mired in debt, including a mortgage. You wanna get rid of your mortgage in your 40s.”

@tomasdorph @Cryptoboyy_Aji For boomers housing was cheap, but other expenses especially tech very expensive relative to income. Since then housing has gone up far more than income but common goods, food and cars has gotten cheaper and tech much cheaper relative to income.

@West_Granthc It's a psychological issue, not a market mechanics issue. If you are good at evaluating businesses (which granted most people aren't), then you know when to buy a great deal on a great company. After that it's just about nerve, ignoring noise, and self knoweldge. Read Munger.

Kevin O’Leary says almost nobody can beat the S&P 500 by picking individual stocks “If you think you’re so good that you can pick stocks and beat the index, give it a try and learn the hard way. Virtually nobody beats the index” “What you should do is make it easy for yourself. Maybe put $1,000 into one account where you pick stocks, and another $1,000 into SPY, the ETF that tracks the entire S&P 500” “And then you’ll find out the hard way that you’re not that good. 90% of the time, you can’t beat it, so you might as well join it and stop trying to pick stocks”

It's GENUINELY scary to see how many Millenials & Zoomers are living their lives not even HOPING to get married or have children. They are literally going through life with themselves as their only priority, fully okay with dying childless. What this also means is: These people have NO PERSONAL STAKES in the future health and prosperity of our society, outside of the ~100-year window they're alive in.

@damianl23 @BradKlibansky Hawthorn had 7th most travel last year, we were closer to Brisbane in travel time than Carlton. We travelled more than both SA teams and 4.5 hours more than any Victorian team. Please get your facts straight.

✍️ Hawthorn’s 🎢 Fixture: In the last few weeks we have seen the Hawks with very low tackle numbers and struggling to 🏃 out games. Whilst injuries to key players recently haven’t helped, there may be another reason for the Hawks recent form slump- a 🎢 fixture ⬇️ is a breakdown of the 2026 fixture up until the run home. Opening Round in Sydney against GWS A early bye in Round 3 A 19-day break into Easter Monday against Geelong after a early bye 🤦‍♂️ 6 games in 31 days 😱 between Round 4-Round 9 at 5 different grounds. The ⬆️ would definitely have had an effect on recent performances. Training during the week would be effected, whilst players would be struggling to get up for and run out games. It doesn’t get easier after the bye with Gold Coast away, GWS and Melbourne to come. By Round 18, the Hawks will have played only 1 x team in the bottom 4, Essendon in Round 1. The fixture does open up late in the season, but will it be too late with the Hawks having to chase wins to push for a top 4 finish? If the Hawks do finish in the top 4 this season, it certainly will be well earned! @HawksInsiders

@Not3Sure3 @BradKlibansky We were 7th for travel time last season, we travelled more than both SA teams, the most by any Victorian team. Tassie adds a lot of extra travel that adds up, imagine 10 + hours less per season with no Tassie. And 4 more MCG home games which is huge for Melbourne members.

@BradKlibansky How many of the games with the 5-day breaks had interstate travel before them. Because travel burns at least half a day of rest/practice too. Perhaps the one good thing that comes out of the Tassie sponsorship ending is less travel.

these zoomers wouldn't buy nor live in the boomers first house. there's affordable housing all over this country, it's just not on Park Ave in Manhattan, Miami, or Manhattan Beach in Cali. i've learned to give zero attention to the complainers. they aren't going anywhere in life, don't provide any value in conversation, and won't help you elevate. better to just ignore. they're dumb and will continue being dumb. the irony is the average poor person in america lives like a queen/king from just a few generations ago.

Kevin O’Leary’s comments about young people making sandwiches instead of ordering out are going viral, and honestly, a lot of what I’m seeing on social media about it annoys the hell out of me First off, it is hard to be a young adult right now. Inflation is brutal. Housing is expensive and in short supply. Groceries, gas, insurance, and energy costs are hitting everyone hard. Starting out today is not easy, and pretending otherwise is disconnected from reality. But what I completely reject is this growing narrative that boomers somehow “stole” prosperity from younger generations or should now give up what they worked for. My parents are boomers. They started their marriage with almost nothing. They lived in a depressing basement apartment in downtown Lexington before moving into a tiny rental house. My dad worked his way up at Pepsi-Cola over a 30-year career, starting in the warehouse and eventually becoming controller of the company. My parents didn’t buy their first home until I was in fifth grade, and even then it was a very modest ranch house. We ate at home almost every night. Going out to eat was rare. There were no Amazon packages showing up daily, no DoorDash, no expensive vacations, no constant lifestyle spending. A lot of people today act like previous generations all bought mansions at 23 while working part-time jobs, and that simply isn’t reality for most families. That doesn’t mean young people should just “stop complaining.” There are real economic problems we need to address. I help my own kids financially because I know how difficult things are. But I also expect them to spend responsibly, avoid wasting money, and work toward independence. No one is owed an easy life. Most people struggle at some point. I’ve worked three jobs at once as a single mom just to survive. It wasn’t fun, and I don’t wish that on my kids, but struggle is sometimes part of building a better future. Blaming “boomers” for everything won’t fix housing shortages or lower grocery prices. Spending all day online complaining won’t either. If people want change, get involved. Push for housing reform. Support policies that increase supply, competition, energy affordability, and economic opportunity. Build something. Contribute to your community. Fight for solutions instead of resentment. Quit whining. No one “owes” you anything.

Kevin O'Leary says most people waste $15,000 a year on stupid stuff like $5 coffees "Stop buying coffee for five dollars and fifty cents" "You go to work and you spend $15 bucks on a sandwich, what are you an idiot. It costs you 99 cents to make a sandwich at home and bring it with you" "Bring your own water, your own drink or your own coffee mug. You start to add that up every day it's a ton of money" "Most people starting on their job making their first $60,000 piss away about $15,000 a year"

Labor just said the quiet part out loud. Minister was asked how tax changes to non-property assets makes housing more affordable. Answer: “We need a better balance between those who earn by working and those who earn from assets. Fundamentally this is what it’s about.” ❗️❗️

@ColeMaritz @JeffBezos If taxes reduce near to zero for bottom 50% they would consume more and some tax would still come from their spending. But you would need a decently high tax free threshold. Perhaps 40-50k or so.

@JeffBezos I’m a fan and admirer of yours, but I disagree that the bottom 50% of income earners shouldn’t pay taxes. Taxes are skin in the game. Every citizen has a stake in government, so everyone should contribute, even if it’s a small sum.

Yes, the United States has the most progressive tax system in the world. The top 1% pay 40% of taxes, the bottom 50% pay 3% of taxes. We can make it even more progressive by zeroing out taxes on the bottom half. It’s a small amount of the total tax revenue but very meaningful to people in this group.
Shay Boloor@StockSavvyShay

Jeff Bezos said the bottom half of Americans should pay zero federal income tax. He cited a nurse in Queens making ~$75K and paying ~$12K in taxes saying “we shouldn’t be asking this nurse in Queens to send money to Washington.”
