Rewatching last nights game, and the way Hawthorn is able to set their forwards up through just genuine gut running is unreal. MacDonald & Moore especially, create so many holes and so much space by not only running incredibly well, but into really dangerous spots that make them really hard to defend without giving up pockets of space in dangerous areas around them. It’s also probably one of the main reasons Gunston can play so deep, he’s got a brigade of small forwards willing and able to run all day to create up the field. #AFL
