Two years ago Stephen Donnelly approved €19m of new investment to achieve his and Simon Harris’s commitment that no child with scoliosis or spina bifida would wait longer then 4 months for life changing surgeries. Today in the Dáil he concedes that he cannot guarantee all the money was spent for the purposes in which it was intended. Incredible and scandalous lack of political failure and accountability. Meanwhile 327 children with scoliosis are waiting for care. Children deserve better!
