New research from @MassGenBrigham could change how we treat degenerative spinal disease. Spine researchers @MoHadzipasic and @ShankarLabMGH found that mechanical stress activates a pathway (ROCK) that stiffens spinal ligaments—and blocking it may prevent the damage.
