It wasn’t until tonight that I realized that after I first saw real combat [not we got shot at or the truck behind us took a hit… but I pulled a guy out of a wadi and put him on a bird missing parts and I really just hope he lived combat] I don’t have any pictures smiling. A lot of political opinions and overtures on this app. Even from combat vets like myself. Maybe we all need to take a stroll down memory lane and remember that day when we stopped smiling for pictures. When it was no longer exciting, but terrifying. Not the day we lost our nerve, but the day we actually found it. The day that the hypothetical became reality. The day we took a punch to the face and had to get up off the mat for more rounds. Remember that day and remember those who’ve lived it themselves in the past few weeks, most of them not combat MOSs. All of them heroes. I am so damn proud of the men and women who serve this country. They are not without fear. They are brave with it.

ICE set off an international incident in Minneapolis today because agents tried to go into the Consulate of Ecuador without permission, and then yelled at their staff for trying to keep them out. Note that there is a huge “consulate of Ecuador” sign over the door.

The order is incredible. You have to read it. It’s not even three full pages and you feel the judicial fury. He says court orders are repeatedly being ignored and people who have done nothing wrong are remaining in detention despite judicial orders requiring them to be released.

BREAKING: A witness who was just 5 feet from Alex Pretti filed an affidavit depicting what she saw. She says he didn’t touch any of the officers and didn’t appear to be resisting. He was merely helping a woman who had been pepper-sprayed. She’s is terrified that ICE is looking for her, saying they are lying and she doesn’t know what they will do to her if they find her.
