To start some conversations.. What do you think the Indian government should do to make reporting safe in India? What policies should be implemented?

I am thankful that my journalism have contributed, but I think the names Indians should look to for inspiration and critical journalism in India is in this article. I will be following their bylines at least.

When tough questions are asked to Ms. Tough Question, Ms. Tough Question pulls a “I’ll need my fact sheet”, “I’ll read the article and come back”. If you’re defending this plant, you’re the problem. At least defend someone with substance.

I would have asked the question no matter if it was a press conference or a press briefing, but it is ofcourse interesting for the critics that get hung up on this to note that my prime minister called it a press conference.
Anyways, if you call the press, there should always be questions involved in a democracy.

Nothing screams ‘progressive patriotism’ louder than begging western world to publicly humiliate Modi because his domestic outrage subscription model is running low on engagement.
At this point, it’s less activism and more colonial cosplay with a ring light. Also funny how the people who lecture India about ‘dignity’ turn into unpaid foreign PR interns the moment Modi lands overseas. National self-respect apparently ends where algorithmic outrage begins.
