People make transactions on chain that try to appear in block explorers as thought the address you're looking at bought something it didn't or is controlled by something it isn't or can do something it cant'. Most people don't fall for it, because they don't even look at block explorers at all, and some are smart enough to know what they are looking at. TLDR; If someone "takes over" a contract, that can literally do nothing, and tries to impersonate the address that actually deployed the contract, no one with half a brain is falling for it, because it looks just like the 24/7 other scams being done visibly on the block explorer all the time. No one cares.
