What rules about Knight's Tale is that it may not be accurate, but it's clearly made by people who gave a shit. Details like Count Ademar making fun of William's old armor, and going through the effort of giving him an ecranche (jousting shield) where everybody else just has integrated grand guards. Authenticity and attention to detail is all I ask.

@foxy_cca It varies greatly. In some places, the transitions between sections with flat terrain are smooth, while the smaller sections are more abrupt and cover a very small area. just like the two sections below. When the block height limit is lifted, I want to build Mount Everest 😋

Oh, thank you for that. Actually, what I was trying to do was keep the transition between the river and the mountain sharp and make the rest of the sections into a gradual slope. When I created sharp peaks, they didn’t match the structure of the mountain I had in mind and saw when I was out there, so instead of making them sharp vertically, I chose to add sharpness horizontally. If I could have gone past the 320-block limit, I probably could have made a better example of an eroded mountain. (this is kind of like a miniature version, haha.)

@Olegro_ Looks great man, and speaking of sharper peaks, you could try adding a mix density where you pass your mountain terrain, a constant density, and a simplex density with the octaves cranked up; that's what I used to roughen up my mountains, maybe it could help you. 🤔

Very expensive path, but it's the game I ultimately want to play with my kids when they're old enough to play! Dungeons, boss fights, epic worlds, encounters, NPCs, events, rework all professions/crafting. It's going to be a long journey! Having modding alongside us will help the wait between major updates, and the hiring pool will keep growing for us as well. Really happy with where we are going right now. I understand the game isn't that good right now; there isn't much to do in adventure, and it's bare-bones. I also feel a strong responsibility to ensure it's fully realized!

For the past 3–4 days, I’ve been working on a mountain biome to fill in some gaps in my knowledge and improve my optimization skills. It could have been sharper, the peaks could have been steeper, but I wanted to test myself by basing it on the hill and mountain I saw while driving home from the airport last week, and most of my time was spent building the terrain and trying to do it in an optimized way. (I succeeded.) #Hytale #HytaleModding

We're tripling down on what Adventure mode's worlds can become, starting with Orbis and World Gen 2. Hybrid role: level designers, environment artists, or people who do both. NPC Developer is a smaller team, but it's the one that decides whether the world feels alive. Creature behavior, combat, boss fights, and the patterns that make Hytale react.
