The Framers weren't handing the "priceless gift" of citizenship to anyone dropping a kid on our soil while owing primary allegiance elsewhere. This is common sense the left has twisted for decades. The 14th Amendment fixed a specific post-Civil War injustice for those with deep roots and undivided loyalty. It was never a blank check for open borders or foreign nationals gaming the system.
