@zerohedge What’s the point of these hit pieces? You could equally argue that the USA led the world but it’s simply a bully now. The U.S. lead in AI is slender and other AI centres exist in the world e.g., UK (DeepMind) and China.

Nvidia is restarting momentum in China after months of delays, with CEO Jensen Huang confirming the company has begun receiving new orders for its advanced H200 AI chips. He said manufacturing is ramping back up as supply chains restart and demand begins to return. The update marks a shift after a long period of disruption caused by U.S. export restrictions. Those rules required special licenses for advanced chip sales to China and forced Nvidia to adjust its strategy. At one point, China accounted for about one fifth of Nvidia’s data center revenue. The restrictions led to a multibillion dollar impact and pushed the company to develop lower capability chips to stay in the market. Now, Nvidia says it has secured the necessary approvals from both U.S. and Chinese authorities. However, shipments had remained slow due to ongoing security reviews before this recent restart. Despite the challenges, Nvidia’s overall growth has remained strong. The company recently reported more than 70 percent revenue growth and expects continued expansion this quarter. Still, China remains a question mark. Nvidia is not currently factoring in meaningful China data center revenue in its near term outlook due to ongoing uncertainty. The restart of orders could signal a turning point, but regulatory risks and geopolitical tensions continue to cloud the longer term outlook for Nvidia’s China business.
