You are probably a bot, but let me simplify this for you since you are clearly struggling. Their motto is to not give money to people that hate you, so I cancelled my paid subscription. i.e., I am no longer giving them my money and I am living up to their own pledge. I never said that I was going to stop watching, listening, or boycott them. Also, Ben is the only one I listen to and doesn’t talk crap about other faiths. In my experience, he is very respectful when it comes to religious discourse. I don’t listen to the people who do. Did you get that, or do you still need help?

@ShayWThomson @LukeFHan Wait, let me get this right: you canceled your subscription because you found out that they hate you and your religion, but you still listen to him almost every day? “I won’t pay to be told my religion is wrong” But you’ll do it for free???

I've been informed Daily Wire hates Mormons, so why are they giving a Mormon an audience of 2.3 million?

I don't really know how to talk about things like this on social media, but my father-in-law passed just this last Wednesday. He was so important to me and my family, and I'm so grateful for the family he raised and the example he set for me. His confidence in my wife and I was such a blessing to us, and his love for our kids was so wonderful. We miss him so much—but I'm so grateful we got to have the time with him that we did, and I look forward to the day we see him again.

Just one of hundreds of “lucky guesses” by the Prophet Joseph. No way he could have known any of these things. The Book of Mormon is true, which means that everything happened exactly as Joseph said it happened—making him a prophet of God and making The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the only true and living church on the face of the earth today.

So the @realDailyWire published a very lame piece declaring Joseph Smith a false prophet. But… they forgot about the Book of Mormon! If the book is true, then Smith was indeed a prophet. I’ve been publishing a series of BofM validations. Here another example: how could Smith have known about a documented oral tradition regarding the “coat of many colors” that was NOWHERE available to anyone in 1829 America?

I am with @wendz_dey and ask, “Which one?” It seems like since the fall of Adam, there have been several great apostasy’s. For example, God flooded the earth to try and rectify one great apostasy. He then had to confound the language to rectify another. The Deuteronomists during the time of King Josiah started yet another one, which eventually led to the people being so hard of heart that they crucified their Savior. Once the OG apostles were all killed off, and the Nephites became wicked, the post-Christ apostasy started. So, the long answer is that it started the moment Adam and Eve fell.

Last night, I went full on autist and made a graphic of all the callings in our ward. I must’ve spent 2 hours on it, easily. I doubt it’ll ever be helpful. I initially wanted it to look more like a Venn diagram, but that seemed impossible.

1000% I, too, have four kids and an amazing-paying job, but I am broke. My amazing wife and I decided when we got married that we were going to prioritize family over status/money. So, she has the hardest job in the world—stay-at-home mom. Unfortunately, our society basically requires dual-income households, and when you only have one, it is tough. Housing, healthcare, food, utilities, etc., are crazy expensive. We don’t have a fancy home, don’t go on lavish vacations, don’t do all the typical things my kids’ friends do, but we are happy and have four amazing children. If I could go back in time, I wouldn’t change a thing.

@TeeplesCY I wonder if they realize that it's not candy crush, but rather, crushing costs of housing and healthcare that actually make it difficult to have kids - though maybe that gets addressed in the interview. I say this as someone who has kid 4 on the way 😅

Beautiful! I love this so much! Thank you for sharing it with us. Brother Brad Wilcox shared something in a podcast when referring to his patriarchal blessing that has always stuck with me. I am paraphrasing, but he said his blessing was very short (so is mine). Because it was so short, he felt that God didn’t give him enough information he could use in his life as he struggled with things or as he was seeking revelation when making big decisions. He then received revelation saying something to the effect of, “You don’t need it. You don’t need me to validate you or your decisions. You know what I expect of you and you know what to do.” I have friends and family members who have seen beautiful things, heard voices, or received undeniable witnesses that God is there and watching over them. Personally, I have never had any experiences like that. I have prayed and prayed to see things, to hear things, or to receive powerful manifestations of the Spirit—but all I get is silence. I then receive an answer in my head which says, “You don’t need it. You don’t need me to validate you or your decisions. You know what I expect of you and you know what to do.” So, the revelation I often receive is that I don’t need revelation. I know what the Lord expects of me and it is up to me to just get to work and do it. 😁

I threw together a quick lesson for a friend on how to receive revelation. Had a feeling to share here. (See what I did there?) 🙂 What would add/change? ⬇️ Learning to Hear Him Have you ever had a question you desperately needed answered — and heaven felt silent? You’re not alone. And I’d suggest that silence isn’t indifference. It might actually be an invitation. Think of the Lord as the greatest coach you’ve ever had. Not the kind who hands you the playbook and sends you out. The kind who lets you struggle, grapple, and wrestle — because he knows that’s exactly how you grow. He’s not just interested in answering this question. He’s interested in building the kind of person who can receive answers to every question you’ll ever face. He’s more interested in your growth than your comfort. So if this feels hard — good. You’re on the right track. A Little Homework Here are some scriptures I’d love for you to sit with. Every single one features a real person wrestling with a real problem, desperately wanting the Lord’s guidance. Sound familiar? • D&C 4 • D&C 8:2–3; D&C 9:6–9 • D&C 11:6–22 • Mosiah 26:13–23 • Enos 1:2–19 • Ether 2:18–25; 3:1–6 • Joseph Smith History 1:8–20 • Moses 1:1–26 • Numbers 13:1–33; 14:1–11 • Esther 4–7 • Mark 8:22–25 • Luke 24:13–33 • Acts 10 As You Read, Look for (or research) These Four Things 1. What was the question and what brought it about? 2. How did they seek the Lord’s help? 3. How did they receive an answer? 4. What did they do with that answer? You won’t find all four in every story — and that’s part of the lesson too. One last thing. If this list feels like a lot of work — it is. Revelation takes work. You’ll be spiritually exhausted going through this, the same way you’re physically exhausted after a hard practice or a long run. The exhaustion means something is happening inside of you.

As a teenager, my life was peppered with uncertainties and anxieties about the future.   One day during my Sunday School class, my teacher shared a verse of scripture that changed my perspective and brought an infusion of light into my mind and heart. These words have continued to help me in many of life’s situations.

Yesterday was the worst day of my life: I took one son to school and went to my parents empty house to workout and get some work done. At 11:30 I left to go get both my sons out of school. I arrive at 12 to pick up one, drive 10 minutes away to pick up the other. I get into the car with my two boys, drive off from the school, take a left turn onto Timpanogos Hwy and that’s when I lose it. My eyes closed as though I fell asleep, which I practically did. While still driving, I wake up, breathe deep, and realize I’m having a diabetic seizure. I scream and I try to take control, but my seizure is preventing me from doing anything. I somehow check who’s behind me or in my blind spot so I can get into the service lane near an intersection. I finally get to the service lane and stop, but my seizure lets off the brake and I’m still going. I pass the intersection—I have no idea how—and I keep going, braking and going, braking and going. I black out. I wake up and now I’m in the middle lane, getting too close to oncoming traffic. I black out. I wake up and I’m now going into oncoming traffic. There’s literally a white suv about 20 feet in front of me. The driver moves out of the way. My boys are freaking out, crying, “YOU’RE GONNA CRASH!” I can’t do anything. I black out. I hear my mother-in law on the phone talking to me and my kids, I later learned my son answered the phone when the group was calling on WhatsApp. The worst of the seizure then takes hold and I slam the brakes, let go, slam the brakes. My car is now making noises, even it knows something is horribly wrong. I check my rear view and see a fire truck with its lights on. I check my right and there’s a blue Honda perpendicular to me, waving me to move forward. I was in a busy intersection. I’m still in the oncoming traffic side, but nobody is moving. Just watching. Finally, I slowly, but harshly slam into the light pole. I try to put the car in park but I go into reverse and hit the fire truck. I get it into park. Finally, the driving is over, but I’m still seizing. A lady comes to the passenger side, opens the door and asks if I’m ok. I tell her, “No.” She asks me what I need. That’s when my door opens with a fireman leaned down to me and I tell them, “Sugar. I’m diabetic.” I’m still can’t control my body, but somehow I manage to get that information out. The seizure ends. I try to get out so I can get on all 4s on the ground, but the fireman tells me to stay still. I tell him, “My children. Check on my children. Are they ok?!” The fireman says he sees my boys and they seem to be fine. That’s when I break and I wail like a baby. At the moment, I couldn’t recall everything that happened or how it happened, but I knew I had a seizure and put my two boys in great risk and possibly many others. They put me into the ambulance. The wailing doesn’t stop. I keep thinking about my boys and how scared they were and how it was all my fault. I should have checked my blood sugar before driving, even when I felt fine. I had no suspicion that I was low. None. The EMTs let me know that my wife called my phone, she knows and she’s on her way. I ask if I hurt anyone. Not a soul was hurt. I drove down Timpanogos Hwy having a seizure and no one was hurt. My kids are fine. Not a scratch on anyone, not even me. I wail like a baby again. The crying continued all throughout the day yesterday till my eyes were swollen. I can’t stop thinking the horrible things that could have happened to me, my boys, or people on the road. My life felt ruined for a moment in that ambulance. I put my children at risk, driving with low blood sugar. Stupid. Fortunately, everyone is ok. Everyone knows it was an accident and if anything it’s been a faith builder—in the worst possible situation, the best possible result occurred. I am embarrassed and ashamed, but I am also extremely grateful. I am sorry to anyone that was there.

Yep. Here is a great article by Don Bradley explaining this very thing (two different hills in the New York area). One housed the Golden Plates and the other housed all of the other records Mormon used as source texts for his abridgment. Don argues that the Plates of Nephi were not in the box with the rest of the Golden Plates and that after losing the 116 pages, a man named “Brother Nephi,” who was probably one of the Three Nephites, gave Joseph Smith the Plates of Nephi so he could translate those last and complete the Book of Mormon. Fascinating stuff. byustudies.byu.edu/article/were-n…

If the Hill Cumorah moved, why did a kid fall into a 12-15ft hole with made-man hole with stones stack on each other. The Hill Cumorah is a doldrum, famously known for not having natural caves. Two Cumorah's, but they are both in Upstate New York: "In an interview, David referred to the hill where the plates were retrieved from as the “hill cumorah.” One night Joseph Smith awoke from deep sleep to find his humble room ablaze with glorious effulgence. In the midst of this supernatural radiance stood an angelic figure robed in white, who, in seraphic tones, said to him that in a stone casket buried near the summit of the hill Cumorah were the priceless and sacred records of the Nephites, one of the lost tribes. (Chicago Times, August 7, 1875, 1) David said that the plates were returned to a different hill in the same area: I – Where are the plates now? He – In a cave, where the angel has hidden them up till the time arrives when the plates, which are sealed, shall be translated. God will yet raise up a mighty one, who shall do his work till it is finished and Jesus comes again. I – Where is that cave? He – In the State of New York. I – In the Hill of Cumorah? He – No, but not far from that place.  (P. Willhelm Poulson letter of August 13, 1878 to Editor of Deseret Evening News, August 16, 1878)"

The Hill Cumorah: Why did the LDS Church & its apologists move the hill? For most of Mormon history, Latter-day Saints believed the Hill Cumorah in Palmyra, New York was the very place where the final battles of the Book of Mormon took place and where Moroni buried the gold plates that Joseph Smith would later retrieve. But in recent decades, a growing number of LDS scholars and apologists have proposed something very different. youtu.be/myjZGB_6wpc
