Happy Feast of the Immaculate Conception! This is a section of the miraculous spring at Lourdes, where St. Bernadette Soubirous dug in the mud in 1858, as Our Lady instructed. A spring appeared from it after St. Bernadette had done so. Seventy-two approved miracles have come since that apparition of Our Lady of the the Immaculate Conception in Lourdes, France. St. Bernadette did not receive much formal education due to poverty and illness, which convinced church authorities to believe her when she said that the name revealed by Our Lady who appeared to her was the "Immaculate Conception." Video by Sheila Nonato, Nov. 2019 at the Grotto in Lourdes, France.

When he had said this, as they were looking on, he was lifted up, and a cloud took him from their sight. While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going, suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them. They said, “Men of Galilee, why are you standing there looking at the sky? This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.” Acts 1:1-11

🚨 BREAKING: Canada’s MAiD euthanasia machine just hit rock bottom. A Quebec physician has formally suggested assisted suicide for infants — babies from birth to one year old with severe deformities and syndromes. Parents “should have the opportunity” to have their newborn killed. Federal committees are now pushing to expand MAiD to “mature minors” (children), where a doctor — not the parents — decides if the kid can “consent” to their own death. Ontario’s Chief Coroner confirms hundreds of MAiD deaths are driven by poverty, loneliness, and lack of housing — not terminal illness. People are being offered lethal injection because they feel like a burden. This isn’t healthcare.
This is a moral horror show. Years of Liberal-NDP rule have turned Canada into one of the most dangerous places on Earth for the vulnerable — from newborns to the poor. Danielle Smith is fighting this insanity in Alberta. The rest of the country needs to wake the hell up before it gets even worse. Today is Ascension Day, the day Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, 40 days after the Resurrection. For 40 days Jesus remained on Earth to prove he had truly risen from the dead. He appeared to his disciples—teaching them, strengthening their faith, and confirming that He had truly conquered death. Especially to Thomas who had to literally touch Jesus's glorified body to believe it 😂 Then, in their presence, in the Mount of Olives, after one final blessing He ascended. As He did a cloud took Him away from their sight, echoing the same divine signs seen in Exodus and at the Transfiguration. This moment was not a departure in the sense of loss, Jesus wasn't going away. He was going to the Father to reign in glory. He was enthroned at the right hand of the Father. The Ascension makes something crystal clear: Christ reigns now. He rules over Heaven and Earth. But most importantly we must remember: He will come again. Just like the angels said "He will return. Until that day, the mission continues: to live as witnesses of what has been seen and received. To spread the Faith to all corners of the world and to live according to His teachings. "Whoever has my commandments and keeps them loves me. Whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them" - John 14,21

The bloodstained cassock of Pope John Paul II from the assassination attempt on his life 45 years ago today, May 13, 1981, carried out by Mehmet Ali Ağca. Understanding the gravity of the moment and that his life hung in the balance, St. John Paul II chose to forgive the man who tried to kill him. Years later, he would offer that forgiveness face to face. Thirty years after that extraordinary act of mercy, Mehmet Ali Ağca reportedly converted to Catholicism. He later laid white roses at the grave of the man who changed his life and, through tears, said: “This is a miracle that goes on. The mystery of Fatima goes on. Long live Jesus Christ!” St. John Paul II credited Our Lady of Fátima with saving his life. In gratitude, the bullet that narrowly missed his heart was later placed in the crown of her statue.

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sister Nadir, a young Carmelite nun who tragically drowned yesterday in the sea while heroically trying to save her sisters from the waves. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” John 15:13

Thousands of pilgrims are gathering in the Shrine of Fatima tonight to commemorate 109 years since the apparitions of Our Lady. This is how the shrine looks on the eve of her feast day, which is May 13th. In this place, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917.

The internet has arguments. The Church has encyclicals. And one of the most beautiful is Redemptoris Mater by St. John Paul II. It does not present Mary as a rival to Jesus. It presents her as the Mother of the Redeemer. The woman whose faith stands at the Annunciation. At Bethlehem. At Cana. At Calvary. At Pentecost. Mary is not Catholic excess. She is biblical Christianity fully remembered. That is why Catholics do not apologize for loving her. Because to honour Mary rightly is to confess something the world keeps trying to forget: The Word truly became flesh. And He came to us through her.
