I’m glad to be back in Quesnel this week after a busy stretch at the Legislature in Victoria. After a day of meetings with constituents on urgent matters, I enjoyed serving some wholesome food at the Northstar Church’s weekly Community Meal. Every Monday evening folks across the community come together to share a nice meal and good company. Northstar Church is a member of our Quesnel Community Support Roundtable. Last year, my office built this roundtable to unite the many organizations and individuals in Quesnel who support those who are too often unheard, unhoused, and unfed. Check out my 2-minute statement in the Legislature regarding the Quesnel Community Support Roundtable. I will be all around the riding of Prince George-North Cariboo these next two weeks, and will provide you with updates on all the goings on. youtube.com/watch?v=QsW5Gv… #bcpoli

@Prominent_Bryan Harman is a great guy who cares about people. He also understands hard work, and has been north of Hope to hear interior and northern issues.

To show how dysfunctional #bcleg has become, @TaraArmstrongBC introduces bill to close safe consumption sites - parties say fine, let it pass 1st reading procedurally. Instead of moving on, she calls division on herself to make everyone stand and vote one by one to try and put everyone in uncomfortable position of looking like they vote for the substance of her bill (which nobody has seen yet) vs the procedure of just letting it go on the order paper for first reading. Waste. Of. Time.

Well isn’t that interesting - it seems that there is a misunderstanding as to what is actually the truth.
Rob Shaw@RobShaw_BC

.@Dave_Eby to #bcleg today on Musqueam agreement: "I received no briefings about the content of this agreement, no heads-up from the federal government." Fed min @RebeccaAltyNWT to CTV: “The federal government did brief the provincial government, it was a number of weeks ago."

So, it seems that the premier DID know about the deal between the Feds and Musqueam after all. That isn’t consistent with the Minister’s responses in Question Period.
Rob Shaw@RobShaw_BC

Just hours after insisting Ottawa didn't brief him on fed-Musqueam agreement, hasn't seen it, and doesn't know what is in it, @Dave_Eby's office admits premier actually attended the Musqueam/Ottawa signing event in person in his riding. But says premier still unaware of contents

Supporting bills on first reading is important to be able to see the actual bill. The NDP seems to be inconsistent on parliamentary procedure. Do they support the Freedom Convoy, or was it parliamentary procedure.
Scott McInnis MLA@McInnis_4MLA

On December 2nd, 2025 MLA Armstrong introduced a bill: Freedom Convoy Recognition Day Act. 87 MLA’s voted “yea” on first reading including @Dave_Eby and other senior NDP cabinet ministers. So do they support the Freedom Convoy Holiday, or routine parliamentary procedure? He’s got some explaining to do to his voter base. leg.bc.ca/parliamentary-… #bcpoli

One should always look at the bright side of life - and when Monty Python’s John Cleese is not willing to risk demonstrating humour in B.C., we are indeed in a dark place. Perhaps it’s time the Human Rights Tribunal was put on the shelf as being out of touch and an ideological tool.
John Cleese@JohnCleese

What a pity ! I'm arranging a theatrical tour of Canada this Fall, and now I won't be able to risk doing any shows in British Columbia I was really looking forward to coming John Cleese
