The NDP keep dodging questions and does not take accountability for the intentional secrecy and lack of transparency it fosters. It’s time the NDP gets their head out of the sand and addresses the concerns of the business community. Here we go again. Without a word to the nearly 2 million residents affected, the federal government has formally recognized Musqueam Aboriginal rights and title across Metro Vancouver. We have seen what happens in the past when these agreements are done in secret, behind closed doors. It creates confusion, uncertainty, and division in BC. When asked about this agreement, the Premier said 'he hasn't been briefed'. This is unacceptable. How could the Premier not know about an agreement of such significance? #bcpoli

On December 2nd, 2025 MLA Armstrong introduced a bill: Freedom Convoy Recognition Day Act. 87 MLA’s voted “yea” on first reading including @Dave_Eby and other senior NDP cabinet ministers. The NDP government is allergic to accountability. The Eby government is scrapping the independent Merit Commissioner. This is the office that oversees hiring abuses in the public service. The Finance Minister claims the office is no longer needed, that 'they are not finding any areas to correct'. But the latest audit found that the merit principle was not applied in 10 per cent of the cases, and that there were errors made in another 23 per cent of cases. So, over one-third of hirings under this government had errors or abuses. The Finance Minister couldn't even answer if she read the report... B.C. deserves better. vancouversun.com/opinion/column…
