@DrJaninaRamirez How about Jasmina, daughter of the Moor, Ali, who was murdered by Christians searching for his hidden treasure in the Cabeza D'or mountains, Jasmina escaped into the cuevas de canelobre above the future village of Busot near Alicante, and was never captured. She is a local legend

Twitter help me out. Send me the names of women from the ninth to sixteenth century that have become legendary in different countries. I’m thinking St Kinga in Poland/Joan of Arc in France.

The worst thing about holidays are the dreams the night before about losing my passport, losing my bag, being in the wrong airport (and last night being in the wrong country) … just me? Although … holiday! Bring it on

@G6JPG_ There is room. But I have a feeling my descendants won't be terribly interested!

My Embroidered Ancestors signatures tablecloth is almost complete. Embroidering along the pen strokes of my ancestors has brought me closer to them in some way. Each signature reveals something of its creator #AncestryHour

@ElaineJackson12 I had one eye lasered for distance. My other eye is still perfect for reading tiny writing. It works really well for me

#specs #eyesightUK Having used varifocals for many years, now thinking it's time to go one pair for distance, one for close work. Have you made the change and did it work for you? Is it more expensive?

@DanielGenealogy Good idea. Just focusing on Ireland? I was adopted straight from a home in Lincolnshire. Mum & Dad presented it as a logical thing to happen. Now I know from my birth mother's point of view it was a forced adoption

My fascination with ancestral signatures continues! While embroidering these names, I noticed alternate spellings/errors that I hadn't spotted before. Tohmas Willaton, Willam Goddard, Alas Rutland, Eliabeth Gibbonns... #AncestryHour

According to 60 Ancestry trees, my 8x great grandmother was from Peru, yet not a shred of evidence has been uploaded. Expecting mistranscription and confusion but feel a trip to the Hampshire Record Office might be required! #Genealogy #Ancestry #OriginalRecords

@chiddickstree I think it is Samuel. There is a hyperscript 'l' also compared to the S of Sarah.

In my research project this week I discovered a family who used 2 different surnames for their 8 children - but helpfully left records with their children's dates of birth which made it possible to confirm they were the same family. Great detective work- if I do say so myself!
